This has been one very long day of nothing but walking and exploring. At least I wouldn't have to worry about any more random teleporting, I hoped.
At least with the light at the end of the tunnel, I could see clearly within the whole cavern. The water rushing by was clearer than normal, the rocks and path were very slippery. And no more markings or runes along the walls.
Thirsty, I bent down to taste the water. It was free of salts, the water was now fresh.
I had wondered how the river flowing thru the isle was fresh, but never heard of a source for the water.
I gradually made my way outside, mulling over this strange thought.
Salt water from the ocean came into the inlet. I saw the salt columns and wind tunnel. Here, where the only source could have been water from the inlet was all fresh?
As I finally made it out into sunlight, I consulted my maps in my journal. As far as my journal could tell, I had traveled in a relatively straight path, following from the ocean's inlet to the river's outlet from the mountains.
Guess something in there filtered out the water.
Shrugging my shoulders and putting away my journal, I was quickly set upon by Sienna.
