Chapter 3
Erin moved out of the kitchen, looking around for her partner. She was about to call his name when she saw movement to her right, just in her field of vision. She was immediately on her guard, crouching and quietly moving towards the right side of the room. Taking a shaky breath in and muttering a quick prayer, she whipped her gun around the corner, her finger on the trigger. Her stomach leaped into her heart when she became face to face with someone.
"Antonio" she breathed a sigh of relief, lowering her weapon slightly. Antonio put his finger to his lips and motioned for her to follow him down the hallway. The tiptoed down the hallway quietly until they reached the auditorium again where they found the rest of the unit.
"The buildings clear" Atwater said, still using a hushed tone.
"He didn't just disappear into thin air, he's in here somewhere" Voigt replied. "We have to keep looking before we can start clearing people out of the building. He hasn't fired in the past 10 minutes, let's hope he's getting tired." The rest of the team nodded and took up their weapons again. It was then when Jay happened to look up to the balcony and see the flash of a gun's barrel pointing down at the unit.
"GUN!" He yelled aiming his weapon up at the balcony. Everything moved in slow motion as a loud 'bang' resonated through the auditorium, followed by several more from Intelligence's weapons.
