Chapter 5

Shane POV

I was walking home from Joey's and I saw Cat walking down the street. Why was Cat in this neighborhood I thought she lived across town. Cat saw me and started walking towards me.

Cat: Hey Shane, what are you doing around here?

Shane: Im walking home, what about you I thought you lived on the other side of town?

Cat: I do I was walking to my friend Ingrid's house.

Shane: Oh, well I have to go bye.

Cat: *Hugs Shane* Bye!

Well that was weird I wasn't even friends with Cat until this morning.

******10 minutes later********

I walked into my house and yelled for my mom.

Shane: Hey mom, I have something to tell you.

Then I walked into the kitchen and saw my dad standing there.

Why was he here he hasn't seen any of us sense I was 9 years old and I didn't want to see him, I didn't want the beatings or the yelling I wanted a normal life.

S dad: *creepy face* Hey Shane.

I couldn't reply I was mortified. Before I knew it I ran out the door and ran as fast as I could away from that house. I didn't know where I was going but I wasn't going to be there.

I ended up at Kalel's house and I knocked on the door.
