Chapter 3

It wasn't a long ride to the hospital place. When you arrived, it was very very bright and it hurt just to look at it. Your human was careful as he helped you in. This place was very different from the human hospital, and you knew since the employees had often talked about it above the paddock, but it was pretty decent. There were several different scaled doors. You let out a small, pained groan.

Your legs ached and you were still walking along with your human holding you up. He didn't rush you along and kept himself upright despite you leaning slightly on him.

"We got a patient!" he yelled into the hospital. Whatever he said must have been some sort of code or signal because people came rushing towards you both. Scared, you let out a weakened roar but found yourself slowly slipping away, not from life but from consciousness. The stress brought you under and everything became black.

Back at the paddock, Blizzard was silent. He quietly paced before Blue, who was equally concerned.

"Rapture... perhaps we should leave him be," she suggested, looking at the white raptor before her.

"Yes," Blizzard agreed, looking at her with a concerned gaze, "Do you think that (your name) will be alright?"

Blue hesitated before answering, "She's strong. Rapture did a good deal of harm to her but (your name) has never given up on us."

Suddenly, a bush erupted into rustles and several raptors emerged, pulling a pig with them. It was dead and fresh. Saturn was at the head of the group, followed by Lunar and then Amethyst. Saturn released the pig in front of Blue.

"We should eat," she announced, digging into the meal. Blizzard hesitated. It's not the same without (your name.)

Meanwhile, in the hospital, you awoke to see white all around. They could have been merciful in the lighting... You groaned and kicked your legs out slightly. There was nobody around at the moment. There was a loud bleeping thing to your left.

In the distance, you could hear people speaking.
The first person's voice was male, "Mr. Grady, we'll be running a few DNA tests on our patient due to its swift recovery. Could you do us a favor and accompany the patient during these tests?"
Your human replied with a slightly annoyed voice, "DNA tests? Didn't the lab tell you a thing about her genetics? By the way, it's (your name) and 'it' is a 'she'. I don't recall the doctors having permission to run tests on patients, especially not those who are healing."
"We have received permission from the owners of the park. Apparently, the lab workers may have added to any modified the patient... er, (your name)'s genes and DNA. Please, we would appreciate your help to keep her calm," the doctor pleaded. You growled quietly. They were going to test you!
"Fine, but she's never gonna forgive me for this," your human gave in to the other.
"Thank you, Mr. Grady. We're just going to have to take some of her blood and maybe some other things like skin or any teeth that might have fallen out."

You let out a frustrated growl and kicked out your hind legs again, trying to get off this strange but comfortable thing beneath you. After a few moments, everything spun and pain shot through your side. The white floor created a loud scraping sound and it reflected everything above. A pained screech escaped your mouth and footsteps squeaked and pounded outside.

You looked out of the window. It was small but you reckoned you could fit through. Everything hurting, you forced yourself onto your feet and lunged towards the window.
