The door burst open, but all too late. With a screech, you smashed through the window, catching your hind leg on the inside. Your pleading eyes scanned the area below. That was a huge drop.
Just as you began to fear for your life, something strong pulled at your back and lifted you from where you dangled. The claws grasped your waist tightly. Behind, the hospital was moving further away each second. People were standing at the window, looking out at you. With them stood your human, whose expression was full of undying worry and fear. You yelped back to him but there was no way that he heard from there.
Ahead lay untouched areas of pure woodland. Birds sang and wonderful sounds managed to last all the way up in the sky. Rivers rushing and trees creaking...
You took those moments to observe your saviour and kidnapper. A large pterodactyl, or something like that. You didn't know many dinosaurs other than Indominus Rexes, Tyrannosaurus Rexes, Raptors and Mosasaurs. The creature was just a dark brown with stripes like Blue, except they were black and not blue.
On the topic of raptors, you wondered what it was like back at home. Was the pack worrying for you or did they not care? Did they miss you? Did they want you back? What about your human?
Soon enough, something came into view. A building, perhaps. It looked old and was covered in weeds and plants. What was this place? It was huge. A loud roar echoed through the air. It was powerful and deathly familiar. Something large. Huge. Much bigger than yourself.
It drew nearer and within a few moments you had been dropped somewhere. The ground was rough and wired fences surrounded you. You drew back, only to crash back into another fence. It was so tight and scary in there.
"Good girl, eleven," a female voice spoke. You turned to see a human. She was probably slightly smaller than your human. She was scarred in a few places on her arms. Her hair was blonde and you had to admit that she was very charming. Those perfect green eyes seemed to give off that gentle tone... that trusting look.
Your screeching and barking ceased as you stared at her and the large bird beside her who you assumed to be eleven.
"This brings us up to thirteen. Well done, eleven," she praised, examining you. She slowly pushed her hand through the fence. You hesitated before approaching and sniffing at it. She placed her hand softly on your head, stroking your scales gently. How does she do this? Your mind was numbed by the brilliant sensation that ran through your body."Thirteen, come out, let me have a look at you," the lady pulled her hand away and reached for the door to the cage. You found your way out carefully, walking up to her and looking into her eyes.
"Utahraptor, I think... Let's see," she eased open your mouth very gently, "T-Rex, a little T-Rex in there."
Was she talking about your teeth? You were part T-Rex? That made you feel quite good about yourself. Very good. You were special! Not like you'd ever felt that you weren't, but this was just great. She let you close your mouth. From there, she looked at your own (eye colour) eyes.
"That's interesting, that's not dinosaur at all. Looks like you've got a bit of snake in you," she then calmly reached out and ran her hands down your neck and to your arms, "I'm surprised you're not huge... Looks like some Spinosaurus or something in those claws."
She moved her hands down to your hind legs, then removed them, speaking with a certain tone, "That's definite Velociraptor."
You looked down at your foot and noticed that it had a large but thin claw which curved like a crescent moon. You didn't recall the others having one of those. Then you realised that they were on both feet.
The lady, however, moved down to your tail and felt your wonderful (scale colour) scales. She then held it softly in a fist and you turned around slightly, though she let go swiftly.
"Who had the idea of Stegosarus?" she heaved a loud sigh. You turned to look at your tail and saw that there were two tiny spikes sticking out the tip at each side. So I'm a Utahraptor, T-rex, snake, Spinosaurus, Velociraptor and Stegosarus hybrid thing? Nice.
Just then, she smiled and stretched out her arms, "We're gonna need a species name for you, thirteen. And a name tag..."
As she turned around, you noticed a name at the back of her coat and with your best reading skills, you dug a name into your mind.
Indomina Arexis.
