~Xander's POV~

"Did they really just mention what happened in our first class?" I said with my eyes now narrowed at the group of girls.

"Hey, no need to get high strung about it," Luka said probably noticing my change of demenor and voice.

I stormed over towards the group with intent as well as a scowl on my face. I could tell the other groups in the cafeteria were starting to notice because the noise was rapidly depleting.

While I neared them, one took notice and then She turned around to face me. With that one look, I could feel my previous determinations start to faulter which stirred me up more.

'Before today, I was fine, everything was fine, and then she showed up,' I thought to myself. I ended my thoughts as I was now in front of her with narrowed eyes.

There was a small flash of fear in her eyes that was quickly gone, and replaced by a calm, unyielding demenor.

"Why are you talking about this morning?" I demanded in a low, hushed voice.

She stared up at me and began to open her mouth when Jessica popped in, "It was me who mentioned it, so calm down Xander."

My eyes glanced over at Jessica and then back to Saige, "Keep away and don't pester me," I told her and turned to walk away with a weird pang in my chest.

'Why did it hurt a little saying that to her?' I asked myself wondering why I felt some type of remorse.

While my back was turned, I could feel her eyes narrowed at me. A small smirk appeared on my face, but I couldn't explain why.

"Xander~" I heard my name called by none other than Marie. I groaned and rolled my eyes as I turned to face her.

"What?" I said coldly with a distasteful stare since I was in no way fond of the girl.

"Ouch, how can you be so crul," she said dramatically while my patients started to wear thin, "Why were you talking to that girl, she isn't worth your time."

"Escuse me?" I said feeling an insult somewhere, "You have no say in who is and isn't worth my time," I told her with authority in my voice. Yes, I wasn't the king, but I was the heir.

"She's so plain though, you need someone better," she began and paused before continuing, "Like me."

The grin that appeared on her face made me want to rip it off, "And you wonder why I hate you," I stated and contiued to walk off.

I reached Luka and let out a agitated, frustrated sigh.

"Hey, it's ok man, don't let this bother you, everything's fine," he told me and my eyes couldn't help but wonder back over to the new girl, Saige, as Luka contiued on talking.

Something was pulling me towards her, yet I remained in my place. When my eyes had first landed on this girl, I couldn't take them off, and that annoyed me very much.

Getting even more frustrated by my emotions, I hit the wall and stormed out of the now silent lunch room. Before I was fully out though, I felt her eyes on me.
