Jin walked to the main conference room of border HQ, waving at acquaintances and friends as he did so. He made eye contact with his long time rival, Kei Tachikawa. He quickly glanced away, the thought of the black trigger he had given away weeks ago fresh in his mind again.
Nothing made it easier. Fujin. His teacher of many years, Soichi Mogami. The only piece of him that remained was the trigger he left behind with the last amounts of energy the old man had left in him. It had been given to Jin after mass amounts of duels between eligible agents to see which one was the strongest, and therefore best handler of the trigger.
Tachikawa was slightly more skilled than Jin at attacking, but lacked one key factor to being selected to handle Fujin. Tachikawa couldn't use it. Black triggers would only work for certain people, and, luckily for Border, Fujin was widely comparable with skilled agents. Just not Tachikawa.
By now you may question why Jin doesn't have Fujin anymore. That answer, given simply, is that he cared more about a neighbor than he cared about his own personal gains. If you understand that, there's no longer a reason to read this book, if you don't mind missing the interesting parts.
Yuichi Jin's life isn't that simple. It all started 11 years ago, on Jin's eighth birthday.
