Soichi made his way to the Border headquarters that went into construction the day after the large scale invasion was over.

As it turned out, citizens were amazed by what Border could actually do, and it was announced that more than just a few of the biggest names in Japan lived in Mikado City, and wanted to support Border. They earned a lot of respect from the citizens, protecting their own ass at the same time.

Soichi let out a laugh at his own though, and Shinoda gave him a curious look. "What is it now, Mogami-senpai?"

"Ah, it's how eager everyone is to save their own ass by supporting Border. They look great to the citizens at the same time." Soichi explained, and Shinoda laughed too.

"Rindo said he'll meet us there, that he had something to deal with. That Mikumo girl probably." Soichi teased, and the others laughed.

"Leave Rindo alone with your childish teasing." Commander Kido said, serious as always.

"Lighten up, Kido-san, we're just teasing, you said it yourself." Soichi laughed.

"Mogami-san, you will refer to me as Kido-sama." Kido commanded, and everyone couldn't help but laughing a little.

"I'm sorry, but Kido-san is the bust you're going to get. Unless you'd prefer Masamune-kun." Soichi laughed again, joined by Shinoda, and finally grump-face Shikora.

Kido scowled, but didn't protest further, knowing that Soichi was more fit to be the leader of the group any day. He kind of regretted recruiting him sometimes, but they did need a Sword Arts master to help design triggers, and teach them how to fight.

"This is it." Kido announced, holding out his hands in presentation.

The Border head quarters were made of Trion produced by special generators buried deep underground. The HQ was located in the middle of the Gate opening area, and every building in its radius was either evacuated or completely destroyed.

The building was massive, and workers bustled in and out of one main door, hauling computers and gadgets that Soichi would have loved to take apart into the new workspace. It was bigger than anything Soichi would have previously imagined, and he was excited.

Kido began going over what the headquarters had in it, and Soichi was excited to push the technology even further.

Suddenly, Rindo could be seen turning an unleveled city block, out of breath. He still wore his signature suit and dark sunglasses, but Soichi noticed his tie was loose once he came close enough.

"Oi, look who decided to show up." Soichi teased. Kido stopped talking and scowled for what seemed to be the millionth time today.

"Leave me alone. I had important business to attend to." Rindo tightened his tie, straightening it out.

"Whatever. Can we just go inside now?" Shikora rolled her eyes.

"Yes, yes." Kido led the group to an entrance that was less busy, and continued to tour the magnificent base for the hundreds of agents they would have someday. Selection for the first group of new agents started in a month.

"I'm home!" Soichi yelled into the house when he returned. He was giddy from learning of the great advancements in Trion technology being used in HQ.

"Oh, hi Soichi." Jin said as Soichi made his way into the living room, where Jin sat. He had a spare Border trigger dissected into pieces in front of him.
