Jin's head pounded. He fought as hard as he could against Soichi, telling himself he was imagining things. Finally, he gave up. He let Soichi pin him down to the floor, an all too familiar glowing blade threatening his heart.
"What's wrong Jin? You never let me win that easily." Soichi had been having trouble defeating Jin lately, though the score was still very much in his favor. Jin - 12 Soichi - 93
"I-I need to tell you something." At Jin's words, Soichi's blade was removed from his chest. The old man's expression instantly shifted to concern, because Jin never sounded so serious.
"What is it?" He asked as Jin got up. Jin walked to the door of the training room inside the now finished Border HQ.
"I have what is called a side affect." Jin admitted once they had left the training room, and deactivated their triggers.
Soichi stopped walking down the hall, and Jin stopped with him. "What can you do?" Soichi calmly asked.
"I can see the future, in a way." Jin whispered, scared of his own ability.
"That's amazing, Jin." Soichi replied, taken aback by the ability. His side affect was the ability to see how much Trion someone had left. It would come in handy during the future planned rank wars, and in the actual fights he did.
"I don't want to have it. I feel like all bad things are my fault. Soichi, please be careful the next few days." Jin frowned, and Soichi's heart skipped a beat.
"What do you mean, Jin?" Soichi was scared now. He trusted Jin to be telling the truth, enough so that he would take action on whatever Jin was going to say next.
"Kido doesn't like neighbors. He's going to act upon it. I can't say much else. I can't see much else." Jin's voice had the serious tone Soichi hated. A sinking feeling took over his stomach.
"Jin, I better go." Soichi said, but Jin grabbed his arm with an iron grip.
"You can't initiate anything. Please just take my word for it. Let Kido. Please." Jin half begged, half commanded. Soichi nodded, not knowing what to think at this point. He would stick by Jin. That's all he knew for sure.

"Tsuji! Tsuji!" Inukai excitedly called for his best friend.
"What now?" Tsuji asked. He had always been the serious one of the pair.
"Promise me we can join Border together, and rescue people like the brave boy?" Inukai pulled puppy-dog eyes on Tsuji. How could he not promise? Inukai was so adorable, and could get Tsuji to do anything he wanted.
"When we get older. Remember, they're only accepting 10 year olds and above." Tsuji said, and Inukai frowned, then suddenly smiled.
"THAT MEANS WE HAVE TO BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!" Inukai hugged Tsuji excitedly, then started running around. Tsuji laughed and began to chase the blonde boy around.
"I love you, Tsuji!" Inukai laughed, and Tsuji couldn't help but smile, for he loved Inukai too.

Present Time
Jin continued to rush through the border HQ, late to an important meeting as per usual. That was, until he saw him. Olive eyes. Dirty blonde hair up in a messy quiff.
Jin stopped in his tracks, and stared. The boy didn't seem to notice him, but he sure did notice the boy. Memories he didn't want to dig up came to him, but he smiled. Despite the pain, he smiled.
Inukai. Sumiharu Inukai.

"Mogami." Soichi jumped upon hearing the serious deep voice behind him.
