e l e v e n adventures
c h r i s t y

I have now officially been back in Canada for 6 months.

My parents were busy with work like usual. Clarity was still the annoying little sister that I came to love. William was and still is being an amazing best friend.

We went on an adventure every weekend as a new tradition. We hung out almost every day, mostly because we live together now. He's been amazing and it feels like we gotten a lot closer that we were before.

However, I think something with William changed.

Sometimes he was the confident William I grew up with, but sometimes he was a little shy. He did little things to hint at being in a relationship. I wasn't the type of girl who was oblivious to things going around me. I notice almost everything, but I do not act on anything.

"Christy! Let's go to the park," William said bursting into my room.

"It's literally night, why on earth do you want to go to the park?" I asked raising an eyebrow. On top of that, it was really cold.

"Please," he said pouting.

"Ugh fine."

I basically stacked coats on me until I felt like I was warm enough to go out. William was acting nervous, but excited at the same time. It's only weird, because he's the type of person who would want to stay home.

William is a cute person. He's got cute dimples, cute eyes, a cute smile, a cute face, and everything about him is cute. I really like him.

Woah, woah, woah.

I got to back up. Did I just say that I like him?

Christy, snap out of it, he's just a friend.

"Let's go," William said dragging me out to his car. What's going on?

He stopped his car in front of the park we used to go to when we were little. The park where he decided to climb a tree, but fell and broke his arm. I remember when he fell I instantly called for our moms. I couldn't help at the time, but cry thinking he wouldn't be okay.

I thought he was dying, but he was okay.

"I need to blindfold you now," William said.

"Wait what?" I asked trying to protest, but a blindfold covered my eyes anyways. What was he planning? I can't even see that well in the dark anyways.

"Christy, I am going to guide you somewhere, but don't ever take the blindfold off," a new voice said to me. I felt William's grip on my hand slip away. I felt the new voice hold onto my wrist to guide to some place I don't know.

"Who are you?" I asked as the person guided me around.

"It's Vyanna," the voice replied.

Her voice instantly was familiar. Why on earth is William letting his ex girlfriend to guide me to a place I don't know? Does he want me to be killed? For all I know, she's blaming me for the break up and isn't letting that go. Her pace slowed down, making me slow down.

"I don't hate you," Vyanna said softly. "You make William happy, and that's all I really want."

With that said, I hear her walk away with her feet making contact with the leaves that was all over the ground. I felt the blindfold slowly come off my face.

I was speechless.

The words "Be Mine?" was spelled out with candles on the grass. I didn't even feel myself go up higher, but I was up a little hill that the park had. I turned around wanting to know who the person is, but already knowing.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked stepping out of the dark with a bouquet of roses in her hands.

William was dressed in a black button down shirt with some black slacks. I looked up from the roses to his eyes to see a twinkle. His eyes just spoke the words happy, yet nervous. I looked back at the candles to see people down there waiting for me to answer him.

"Yes," I said looking straight into his eyes with grin.

"Yes! She said yes!" William said hopping up and down. William was so cute. He pulled me into a big hug that I gladly returned. "I promise I will never try to intentionally hurt you."

"That's a big promise to make," I replied with a smile.

"I always keep my promises," William said with a wink before handing me the roses.

That's when I turned around with him hugging me from behind. I saw Clarity down there with her camera recording everything going down. I wonder if she was making a new video because she always had her camera on her ready to record something that happens.

"Yay!" people cheered at the bottom.

"You make me happy," he whispered into my ear.
