Kisses in the Dark ~ An Aarmau Story

Aphmau *POV*

I wake up in the morning, it's only December second and I still can't wait till Christmas! We've already decorated our house full on! Yet, it's still December second. I'm still brooding when I get down stairs.

"Ok Aphmau, what's wrong?" says Katelyn as soon as Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan and I are all seated.

"It's still December second!" I whine.

"I agree, I want to see mistletoe and I promised myself that I would only hang the mistletoe when we throw the Christmas party," says Kawaii~Chan.

"What Christmas party?" asks Katelyn and I in unison.

"Oh, I guess I only told you in my dream," says Kawaii~Chan, Katelyn and I both give puzzled faces. Kawaii~Chan gives us a puzzled look back. Suddenly the door bell rings.

"I'll get it," I say. When I open the door I see that it's Aaron. I immediately blush.

"Hey, just the girl I was looking for," he says, "wanna come to my place?" 

"Sure," I say, "just... let me change,"

"Ok," he says and I run upstairs. I look at my closet and decide to go for a comfy look. I toss on my purple sweater and some purple pants and then I toss on my purple boots. I walk downstairs.

"You look nice," says Aaron, he's wearing his usual no t-shirt and jacket and pants outfit. Which makes me wonder...

"Aren't you cold?" I ask.

"No, it feels the exact same," he says. With that said, we walk to Aaron's house. When we get to his house we watch movies and sing duets, kind of.

Aaron *POV*

  As we walk towards my house, I see that Aphmau is blushing as she looks at me, she's really cute, like always. It's been a long time since I've liked someone, I mean since Lily... but Lily cheated me and she doesn't matter to me anymore. Aphmau is something special.

"Hey, remember that movie Frozen?" says Aphmau, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Uh, yeah," I lied, "it's the one with... uh... the small blue thing?" 

"No! Aaron that's fairytail! Frozen is the one with the ice princess and the little snowman," says Aphmau, her eyes show that she's disappointed, "have you ever even watched Frozen?" 

"Uhh, no?" I reply hopelessly.

"Well, we have to watch it," says Aphmau, dutifully.

"Sure," I say trying to be enthusiastic.

"I'm betting you don't have Frozen," says Aphmau.

"Nope," I agree. 

"Well, why don't we take a trip to the cd shop, I think we can rent the movie," replies Aphmau.

"Sure," I say.

~~~After A Trip To The Store~~~

Aph is getting comfortable in the couch while I put the DVD in the DVD player. I look back at Aphmau, she blushes, she looks so cute when she tries to snuggle something. As I join her she snuggles into me and I blush.

"You feel like a marsh mellow," says Aphmau suddenly.

"You look-" I immediately stop myself, I was about to say 'You look like the prettiest girl in the world'

"Hm?" says Aphmau.

"Uh... nothing," I say, is it weird for a guy to blush a lot because I was as red as a tomato.

"Are you ok? You're really red," says Aphmau, she is almost as red as me.

"Uh, yeah... Hey! The movie screen is already on, let's watch the movie," I say, trying to change the subject.

" Uh... ok," she says doubtfully.

For the next 1 hour and 49 minutes exactly we watched the movie, after that Aphmau asked about the movie.

"So how did you like it?" she asks.

"I think it was great, especially when Anna and Stephen kiss, I wish that was..." I trail off.

"Wish that was who?" she asks, intently.

"Uh...." I say, blushing.

"Come on you can tell me," Aph plies.

"Will you promise me that you won't be weirded out?" I say.

"Sure, sure," she says.

"I wish... uh... that was my old cat because she had children with one of the cats from the crazy cat lady," I lie.

"Pfft... do you think I'm some kind of scaredy cat?" says Aphmau.

"Uh..." I say, I was speechless, I had nothing to say, I was so relieved that Aph had fallen for that. 

"Aaron, I'm a big girl and I don't need a man bossing me around like he's my daddy," says Aphmau.

Aphmau *POV*

Aaron is such a overprotective person, he thinks I'm someone who can't go out into the world and if I do I would fall into a hole of darkness.

"Oh, yeah sorry," says Aaron, rubbing his head and blushing a lot, we both are. Suddenly something happens, we both freeze and look into each others eyes, we come closer and Aaron touches my chin, but then we both pull away.

"I think I should get going, Kawaii~Chan is baking cakes today and I don't want to miss out," I say sheepishly.

"Sure, ok... Can I walk you home?" Aaron says, I light up.

"Sure!" I say enthusiastically.

~~~We both start to walk home and again talk about random stupid stuff~~~ 

When we get home, it's about 6:00 and we are both kind of shy.

"I'll see you tomorrow I guess," I say.

"Yeah," says Aaron.

"Bye," I say.

"Bye," he replies.

Stupid stupid stupid, I think to myself as I bang my head on the door. Why can't I just be normal for once, this is so humiliating... calling Aaron like my dad??? I bet he thinks I'm weird. I can't get the feeling that he like me though.

Suddenly Katelyn opens the door and since I'm leaning on it I fall over.

"Gah! Aphmau you scared me," she says staring at me, I was sprawled on the ground.

"Ow..." I say, that was all I could manage to say.

"Aphmau~Senpai! There you are, I've already made five cakes for you!" says Kawaii~Chan.

At that point, I turned my head to look at the kitchen and make a run for it. It has been like 50 years since I had Kawaii~Chan's cakes.

"There she goes again," says Katelyn shaking her head in disgrace.

Finally I reach the kitchen.

"Cake!" I say and the rest of the night Kawaii~Chan, Katelyn and I eat cake and party. :P
