Chapter 1

General POV

"Serena!! Wake up already!! Breakfast is ready!" says Serena's mom, Grace.

There is no reply but a few grunt snores.

"Fletchling dear, the usual please!" she says smiling to the arboreal Pokemon on her shoulder.

Fletchling soars through the window and enters a girl's room. It gets ready to use its Peck attack and hammers its beak straight into the girl's cheek.

"Aaaahhhhhh!!!!! Mom!!! Not again!!" yells the girl, looking as though she was woken from the haunts of Hell.

Serena's POV

As I get my morning dose from Fletchling I get ready for the day. 'Why can't Mom take it more gently?!' I think. I head downstairs for breakfast, and see my mom on the living room couch. The TV was blaring as I sit down and try to enjoy my food. The News spokesperson yells," Come One Come All to the Sycamore Summer Pokemon Camp!!". The guys spoke on and on as I sat trying to think about my next performance.

My mom then said," Serena, you won't have any performances once your summer break starts next week. You should go to this summer camp. That way I can also do some Rhyhorn racing practice."

"Mom, I don't wanna go. You know my first experience at a summer camp didn't go too well. I can use that time to train my Fennekin and Pancham" I say. My mom then replies," Well Serena you can train your Pokemon there as well. Thy might even teach you some useful tips! Also you know Professor Sycamore so it will be some good exposure for you. You shall go to this camp. But yeah, you can invite all your friends too so that all of you can enjoy!"

I guess my mom was too hyped about the idea so I sigh and pick up my cell. I text the group we have consisting of Iris, Misty, May, Dawn, Paul, Barry, Kenny, Clemont and Drew and me. I plug in my phone and head to the sink to wash my hands. As I return, I see there is already a pretty heated debate over who would win if we get time to battle there. I smile and start texting my friends with the details. May apparently looked it up and told us that it was a on month camp, spanning almost half the vacations. I guess a month at a sweaty old camp with my friends wouldn't be so bad.
I then realised that I hadn't let out my Pokemon all day. It was already afternoon. I rush upstairs to my room and grab the two pokeballs on the dresser. I let out Fennekin, the fire-type starter for the Kalos region. Fennekin is soooo cuttteeee!!! I think. I let out my other Pokemon Pancham. Pancham is a born star. H just loves to perform. He grabs the shades from dresser and admires himself in the mirror. I must be very lucky to have such lovely Pokemon. Right then my phone starts ringing......

Dawn was the one. I picked up and she started," Serena!! Are you there!? Well do you know that we stay in cabins? And we won't be allowed to choose who we stay with. Each cabin hold four people."

"Wait, what!? So you're saying that we might be stuck with an unknown group of people for a whole month?! Are your serious?! I say.

"Yes that's what I just said Serena!" said Dawn.

"Anyway, I better go shopping. My mom says I need to get more hardy clothes."

Usual Dawn, I sigh. Dawn is my very best friend. You see we gel together because we are similar in many ways. The others are more well, boyish. Misty is practically a tomboy. I know this will turn out to be a complete truth or dare session. I hope I don't get picked.

Well I better go shopping too. My hiking boots are too small along with my swim suit. Maybe I can convince my mom to get one which looks pretty. "Mom, gotta go shopping!" I say.

"So you are going! Alright, let's go."
