Chapter 40

Doug's POV
Well I guess now I should find some allies at least. I mean now there's 14 tributes against me. I thought as we left the dining hall. Brandon might be a good choice. He seems pretty strong and helpful, but it might be hard to get him to be my ally. He seems pretty independent, like me. I walked up to Brandon. "Hello." I said. He looked at me. "Hi." He said suspiciously. "My name is Doug and I was wondering if you would want to be my ally?" I asked. "Um sure I guess." He replied. "Awesome." I replied. "So what do you know?" He asked me. "Well I've worked on the fire starting station and mastered that. I've also started working on traps, knife throwing and knot tying." I replied proudly. "Well that's pretty good. I worked one the editable plants, traps, archery, and knife throwing. "Cool. I going to go to the training center for a bit." I told him. "Ok have fun." He replied and walked away. After that I made my way down to the training center. I looked at the editable plants for most of the time. After that I went up to my room to get some rest. When I got up to the room Roxana was sitting on the couch with Indigo. "Hey what are you guys doing?" I asked. "We are planning our outfits for the party tonight. We need to get them ready." Roxana said. "Cool. Do you want some help?" I asked. "Sure." The both said. I sat down next to them and we started planing. After that Indigo left to go make the outfits and I went to sleep. I woke up to Roxana shaking me awake. "I'm up! I'm up!" I shout at her. "Finally!" She says harshly. "Ok so what are we doing now?" I asked. "Indigo is done making the outfits so we need to go get ready." She responded. "Ok let's go!" I said and hopped out of bed. We went down in the elevator to get ready. It took about an hour to get ready and after that we went upstairs for the party. All of the tributes went in a limo. After we all exited and the crowed died down we went inside. You had to pay to get in by we got in for free.  The first thing most of the tributes went for was the food. We were all having a good time but it seemed to be over pretty quickly because it was only two hours. After that we rode back to the tower and went to sleep to get ready for the big morning. I woke up and went straight downstairs to eat. We had a feast. After about an hour 6 peacemakers came and escorted us into the hovercraft to take us to the Arena. The trackers go put into our four arms. We were placed in capsules and shot down to where we were going to be lifted off. It was too fast for me to see anything what the arena looked like. Soon I was locked into another capsule and ready to be lifted up. After a minute it started to rise slowly. After I got up the timer started. 20. 19. 18. 17. 16. 15. 14. 13. 12. 11. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. GO! The hunger games have begun.
