Dark

I sat on the edge of a building somewhere around Time Square staring down at the people scurrying below like tiny little ants, all that was missing was the magnifying glass I pulled one of my 4 pistols a p227 and began to crack it open to clean it whistling the tune of La Vie En Rose by Daniela Andrade. When suddenly, the screens throughout the square went dark catching my attention, I looked up as the screens began to pop back to life showing the image of a man his face hidden in shadow but the toothy grin he had shining through despite. "Citizens of the great NYC" he announced, "You are plagued" my hands continued to follow the moves imprinted into my brain "This plague is known as the Vigilante. You all know them and some you love them, cheer for them when they... "save" you" he put his fingers up for air quotations around the word save "But we see beyond there hero persona, We see that they were never heroes and they never will be and that's why we are here" he chuckled as if he had just made a funny joke in his head and wasn't going to tell anyone "We are the only ones who understand that a plague can not be cured or at least not one like this, see a plague like this needs to be cut out" he removed his blade, a large knife with a serrated blade just like mine "And we're the hands that are going to cut out this plague" he stabbed the knife into the table "We are The Black Parade and heroes we're coming for you" I finished snapping my gun together and I pointed it at the screen lining up the sights and laughing "You wanna kill me?" I asked the frozen image of the man "Challenge accepted" I pulled the trigger to here and the gun went off cracking the screen and scaring everyone below as the ran for safety "Oh Shit" I said laughing, "I really thought that was empty" I stepped down from that ledge my friend and began to walk off putting my mask on with a smile on my face.
