~Abbie's POV~

"Oh Honey! You're growing up" My mom says as she hugs me tightly for the 10th time.

"Mom I'm 17. Can you stop acting like I'm 7? I need to go, and get with the rest of the group. We should be boarding soon." I say as I try to leave her bear hug.

"I'm going to miss you sweetie. Promise to call everyday, and send pictures?" Mom says as the tears start to form in her eyes.

"Flight 318 to Thailand is boarding in 10 minutes. Flight 318 to Thailand is boarding in 10 minutes" We hear over the loud speaker.

I give my mom one final hug, and walk towards the rest of the people going to Thailand.

I get on the plane, and there is a figure in the back with his/her hood up, so I can't see who it is. There are 10 of us going total. Haley Bice caught the flu and had to back out last minute, so we have had a last minute replacement. I have no idea who it is. As I take my seat I see my best friends boarding next.

"Abbie!!! We're here!" Says Jen. She's a little excited. She's never left the state before, let alone the country. She has pretty brunette hair, and emerald green eyes. Standing beside her is Katie Lane. She has dark drown hair, and milk chocolate eyes. They take their seats in front of me, and start talking about my new hair color.

"OH MY GOSH!!! Abbie! It looks great!" Jen says as she takes the seat in front of me. Katie sits next to her.

"I'm surprised your mom even let you! She didn't let you get your belly button done till last week, and you've been asking her for weeks!" Katie says.

"My mom finally realized that I'm not a little girl anymore. She says that I'm old enough now, that I can start making some decisions on my own. Hence the new hair." I say. I told my mother that I wanted to dye my hair for my trip. She wasn't going to let me at first, but then I told her that I was almost 18, and that I wasn't a little girl anymore. She agreed that I wasn't the little girl that I used to be, and that I could start making some decisions on my own.

I'm your average teenage girl. I have blue eyes, and normally I have dirty blonde hair, but now it's a mocha color with some blonde highlights. I'm 5'8, and I'm finishing up my junior year. I'm turning 18 in less than a month, and I'm a straight A student. I do charity work, and I'm student body president at my local high school, home of the Huskies.

Soon Katie and Jen talk about the cute guys they hope to meet in Thailand. I try reminding them that we are not there to meet guys, but there to help clean up, and tend to the wounded. They won't listen, so I look towards the door of the plane, and that's when I see him. Landon Crawford. The hot bad boy. He walks through the door, and his eyes meet mine. He has hatred in his eyes. Ever since I tutored him my Sophomore year he hates me.

I look away, and feel someone sit in the empty seat next to me. I look up and see Landon. I feel Jen's and Katie's eyes on me, but I can't stop looking at Landon. Oh god please don't let me say something stupid. He looks at me from the corner of his eyes, and he has a smirk on his face. I blush a bright red, and look away. I can't believe that I'm stuck on a plane sitting next to the Landon Crawford. I don't know what to say, or do now. Jen and Katie are unusually quite for once.

Soon the plane takes off, and I'm able to listen to my music. I plug in my headphones, and listen to my Rise Against Radio on Pandora, and just block out the world. I must have fallen asleep, because Landon wakes me up saying we're switching to another plane. Once everyone is on the other plane, and we take off. I go back to my music, and look out at the window again. Landon sits next to me not even talking to anyone, just staring straight ahead.

~Landon's POV~

How did I manage to get stuck next to Abbie Grace? I am being forced to go on this stupid trip to Thailand because my PO thinks it'll do me good. I take my seat next to her, and I see her looking at me out of the corner of my eye. She sees me looking, and she turns away blushing like a little girl. Once we take off, she plugs in her headphones and looks out the window. I don't want to be here, and I certainly don't want to sit next to her.

"Hey Landon?" an annoying girl sitting in front of me asks.

"What?"I don't want to talk to her.

"What are you doing here? I didn't think you'd be into helping others?"

"I'm not here because I want to be. I'm here because my PO is making me. I'd rather be anywhere but here."

"Why is your PO making you come? Why do you have a PO anyway?"

"First of all, that's none of goddamn business, so don't bother trying to figure out. Second of all, leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone. I don't want to be here, so don't bother trying to be my friend." I say, making the conversation stop right there. I look out towards the window, and see that Abbie is fast asleep. I look down at my watch and see that we have been in the air for a couple hours now. We are landing in about half an hour to switch to another plane.

I wake Abbie up when we land, and then get on the other plane. Once again I'm forced to sit next to her. We take off, and I have a horrible feeling about this trip. I feel like something bad is going to happen. I look out the window, and see that we are in the middle of the ocean. Before I know it, the plane starts to shake violently. The air masks fall from above, and the flight attendant tells us to put on the masks, and stay seated.

The plane suddenly starts to dive towards the water. Abbie is sitting next to me looking terrified, I want to tell her that everything will be okay, but I don't know if it will. I can't lie to her, that wouldn't be right. I start to reach over and grab her hand, to give her support, when suddenly the plane crashes into the middle of the ocean. I look over and see that Abbie is knocked out, and water starts filling the plane. I see everyone trying to get out of the plane before we all drown. I grab Abbie, and I pull her out through one of the busted windows. I see one of the wings of the plane had broken off from the fall and is floating. I pull Abbie up on top, and start off back towards the plane. I grab as much supplies as I can, and swim back to her.

Her friends are on the wing next to her, trying to wake her up. I pull all supplies up next to them, and go back for more. By the time I get all the supplies, their bags, and get back on the wing next to them, everyone has drifted off, and are drifting further and further apart. I pass out shortly after reaching the wing. I don't know what's going to happen now, but I sure hope we all make it somewhere safe for the night.
