~Landon's POV~
Things between Ashley, and Abbie are tensed at the best of times. I've caught them in screaming matches in the few days since Ashely has shown up. Ashley has tried getting my attention, but I ignore her every time and I blow her off. James has gotten better. I was worried that his cuts would get infected, but he seems to be doing great. Jen has been making sure James doesn't do anything that would cause him to get hurt, and James doesn't seem to mind.
I'm out checking the traps this morning, looking to see if we caught anything over night. So far we have a couple rabbits, and a couple squirrels, a pheasant. I'm heading back when I hear another fight between Ashley and Abbie.
"Why do you hate me so much Ashley? What have I ever done to you?" Abbie yells.
"What did you do?!? What did you do? You ruined everything! My life was perfect and then you ruined it Abbie!" Ashley yells.
"How did I ruin your life? What did I ever do to you?"
"You are the reason mom didn't want me. Dad was forced to take me because mom wouldn't have me around her perfect little angle! She didn't want me to ruin her perfect daughter."
"What are you talking about? Mom didn't force dad to take you. Dad wanted to take you. "
"Mom told dad to take me because she didn't want the wild child that she couldn't control. Mom has always adored you, and always treated you better than me. You always were the perfect child. Straights A student, beautiful, kind."
"I was a straight A student because I tried to do good in school that way I could get into a good college. I tried to apply myself in school. I had plans for my future, and now I don't know if we will ever get off this damned island!" Abbie says as she fights the tears that are pooling into her eyes.
I walk towards them and draw both of them into my arms as the both start crying.
"I didn't realize you felt that way about me Ashley, I'm so sorry. I wish I had known."
"I'm sorry I was jealous of you Abbie, and I'm sorry to you too Landon. I shouldn't have done what I did. I was jealous of the fact that you had the hottest guy in school wanting you instead of me. I wish I could take back what I did, but I know that I can't."
"It's okay Ashley, I forgive you. You're my twin sister, I will always forgive you, and I will always love you. No matter what."
After the girls calm down we head back to the camp and see everyone is getting lunch ready. We have deer and some bananas Jen found this morning. We also managed to catch a few chickens in some traps that Abbie and I built so we have fresh eggs every morning.
I look around at everyone gathered around the campfire and see how close everyone has become. We're like our own little family. Everyone doing their part to help us survive. I look over at Abbie and see how happy she looks, and can't help but smile seeing her laugh and joke around with the others.
Abbie's POV:
I'm laying in bed listening to the sounds of the ocean, waves crashing up on the beach and can't help but think how much our lives have changed since we crashed. The popular, the nerds, and the bad boy all getting along being friends. The most unlikely people becoming friends and even more. We have become each other's family. We all have been the a hard time and that has brought us closer together. We don't know when will be rescued and none of that bothers us anymore.
I look over at Landon who is fast asleep next to me and can't believe we are here. Getting closer everyday and becoming something more than friends. If you had told me a month ago before this trip started that the plane would crash and we all would end up on this island I would have told you that you were crazy and needed to go get your head checked out. Now I look back at how we ended up here and I wouldn't change anything that happened to any of us.
I look up at the roof of our hut and I'm glad that we're all here together. That I decided to plan this trip to help out Thailand, even if we never made it there. If the plan never crashed we would've gone to Thailand we would just go home and go back to our lives. We would go back to the way things were before and none of us would be friends. Our plane crashing wasn't just a horrible experience, it was a life changer for all of us.
I wake up the next morning to see Landon is all ready up for the morning. I get up and look out the window watching everyone sitting by the fire pit laughing and having fun. I see Landon walking towards the group with the morning catches. I walk out to the group to see Ashley cooking some eggs over the fire, Jen fussing over James again, and Katie talking softly to Kolten. Everyone looks happy and looks like they having fun despite being on a deserted island.
"Morning baby." Landon says as he walks up to me wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Morning, sleep well?" I ask.
"Because I had you next to me." He says softly kissing the top of my head.
"That's so cheesy coming from the schools bad boy." I say laughing.
"What can I say, you've changed me."
"So if we get rescued you won't be the bad boy anymore?" I ask.
"Only if you want me to baby."
"Hmmmmm. I'll think about it."
"We should probably get up and get our day started." He says as he sits up.
