Abbie's POV:

It's been at least a month and a half since the crash and we haven't found any signs of people looking for us. We've built more huts and a storage building. We have all been getting along really well. Every morning the guys go out and check the traps while us girls go and gather fruits. Every night we have a fire and just watch the sun set over our beach that we call home.

My relationship with me sister is better than ever. We're actually getting along and being the sisters we used to be. Chris has asked Ashley to be his girlfriend and Landon and I finally made it official. James and Jen are inseparable while Kolten and Katie are still being shy.

I'm laying in bed looking up at the ceiling thinking about all that has happened since we crashed. Our group of friends are the most unlikely to even be friends. I mean we have nerds, jocks, and bad boys. If someone told me 3 months ago that I would be friends with Kolten or James I would've laughed in their face and walked away.

"What are you doing?" Landon asks as he pokes his head through the door making me jump.

"Laying here, thinking."

"What are you thinking about?" He asks as he sits by my feet.

"How are lives have completely changed so much in a small amount of time." I say as I stare at him.

"Yeah, things have changed, but I like to think it's for the better. I mean, if we had never crashed we wouldn't be where we are today. You would still hate me, and I would still be an ass to everyone. You and your sister have a better relationship than you have in a long time." He says

"Yeah I know. It's just..." I say not sure how to word this.

"It's just what?" Hes asks

"It's just what's going to happen to us, I mean all of us when we are finally rescued. Are we all still going to be friends? Are you and me still going to be together?" I finally say. I didnt realize how scared I was of losing all my new friends and Landon till I said it out loud.

"What do you mean what's going to happen? We will still be together and we will all still be friends. Just because we won't be on this island doesn't mean we wont still be friends." Landon says as he gets up to kiss my forehead. "Let's go, everyone's getting lunch together. James found some chickens and made a makeshift pen."

I follow Landon out of our hut and head to the fire pit where I see the pen with chickens in it. There looks like there 5, one rooster and four hen's. I see Kolten skinning some fish that was cought this morning and I see Katie and Jen sorting through the fruit. I'm glad we all came together and are surving. Who knows what could've happened to us if we let our differences come between us.

Landon's POV:

Since my talk with Abbie I've been thinking of what will happen when we all finally go home. I don't want to go back to the way I was before. Always drinking and getting high, always fighting and getting detention. I want to be a better person.

I see Abbie go over to the girls and starting handing out the fruit they've sorted. Kolten has finished skinning the fish and has given them to Chris who starts cooking them over an open fire. We have become a close group of people since the crash and I like to think that once we finally go home we  will still be a close group. I mean, near life and death situations always bring people closer together.

I go and help Kolten with the fish and before I know it, it's ready and we're passing it out. Once everyone has some fish, we all sit around laughing and joking.

"Remember that time in freshman year when we were in science lab and you made a smoke bomb?? Katie asks Abbie.

"It was an accident! I grabbed the wrong chemical and it made the stink bomb." Abbie defends

"That was priceless! Best day of the whole year!" Jen says between laughs.

"I remember that, I was walking by heading to the office with yet another detention slip." I say as I swallow a piece of fish. "I thought you were going to end up in detention or something."

"I was crying in the principal's office thinking I was going to have my first detention ever. Thank God that he let me go with a warning since it was my first offense." Abbie says with a huge smile on her face.

"I'm glad that senior year is almost over. It just sucks we're stuck here." Jen says quietly. As soon as the words leave her mouth everyone gets quite and looks around sadly.

"Do you think they're looking for us?" Katie asks.

"Of course they are! They wouldn't just not look for us. We're kids lost at sea stranded on an island." Jen asks.

"Yeah, I mean our parents will never give up looking for us." Abbie says.

I know it's been a long time since I updated, things have been very rough lately. But things are looking up for me. Hopefully things will get better.
