The Crash

Chapter Six

~Abbie's POV~

I wake up to see Landon staring down at me, smiling. I smile back at him, and he leans down and gives me a quick peck on the cheek, making me blush.

"Good morning beautiful." He says, making me blush a brighter shade of red.

"Morning." I say, stretching. After stretching I stand and go look out the window turns the sunrise. Watching the sun rise over the ocean and beach. "It's so beautiful here."

"Not as beautiful as you." he says as he wraps is arms around me and hugs me close. We just stand there looking out at the view, when we hear a scream from somewhere in the woods.

"What was that?" I ask, as we rush outside to see the others coming out of their huts.

"I don't know but it sounded like a girl." James says as we hear the scream again.

"Kolten, James, grab a spear. You girls stay here." Landon says as he grabs on of the three spears. Once all three boys are holding a spear they rush off into the woods trying to find whoever is the cause behind the screaming.

"Do you think that it's someone from the crash?" Katie ask

"Could be. But who would it be?" Jen asks.

"Could be anyone from school who was on the flight. There was the 6 of us, so that means there are at least 4 others on the flight from school." Katie says, "Who else from school was on the flight?"

"There was James, Kolten, Landon, and us. Plus there was Chris Lancaster, Serena Lee, Jackson West, and whoever the last minute replacement was. It could be anyone of them out there, scared for the lives right now." I say looking towards where the guys took into the woods.

We have been waiting for like 20 minutes before we hear someone scream again. We can't tell if it's a guy or girl. It's another 20 minutes before we hear someone moving in the brush coming. Jen, Katie, and I huddle together, shaking. We scream when someone burst through the brush. It's just Landon and Kolten carrying James who is covered in blood. They take James into the closest hut, which happens to be mine and Landon's. Then we hear someone else coming through brush, I look, and see people coming through the brush. It's Serena, Jackson, Chris, and...... ASHLEY?!?! What is SHE doing here?

~Landon's POV~

I knew Abbie wasn't going to be happy when she found out that Ashley was here on the island. I don't know what happened between them, but it must have been horrible if they hate each other so much. I'm pretty sure I don't want to want to find out. I was just as surprised to see Ashley as Abbie is. I haven't seen Ashley since I did what she told me to do, 2 years ago. She moved in with her father and went to a different school after that. I still regret ever listening to her. I hurt Abbie so much when I did that, I never want to hurt her again.

"Hey Landon, how have you been? Haven't seen you in years." Ashley says trying to get close to me.

"I've been good I guess." I try to get away from her, but she grabs my arm and pulls me close. Pushing her breast up against me.

"Want to get together later and catch up?" She says winking at me.

"No thanks. I already have plans." I say as I pull my arm away and walk over to Abbie, and wrap my arms around her.

"What are you doing here Ashley?" Abbie says. Clearly she is pissed but is trying not to show.

"Well hello to you too sis. Miss me?" Ashley says.

"What are you doing here? Abbie repeats.

"I'm the last minute replacement!" Ashley says with a huge smile on her face.

"This trip is only for students who go to our school. Last I checked you didn't go to our school anymore." Abbie says.

"Well, you see, dad got a new job and we had to move closer to it. I got enrolled back in school just yesterday, when I got asked if I wanted to come on this little trip of yours sis. They said that one of the people got sick, and they needed someone to fill in since they already paid for everything and couldn't get a refund. And now look, I'm here!" Ashley says.

"Well if you're going to be here, you're going to help us with gathering food, and gathering firewood. You will work with us as a team, you will do as you're told, and you will stay away from Landon. Are we clear?" Abbie says glaring at he sister.

"Sure thing sis, but I'll only stay away from him if he wants me to." Ashley looks at me suggestively, and winks.

"What makes you think I want you Ashley? After what you've done?" I say pulling Abbie with me into our hut to check on James.

Once we are inside I pull Abbie into a hug, and kiss the top of her head. "I'm so sorry Abbie. I should have warned you when we got back that Ashley was here. I was just worried about James. I forgot that you guys hated each other."

"What happened to James? Why is he covered in blood? What happened out there?" Abbie asks looking worriedly towards James who moans in his sleep.

"Well we went to where we heard the screams coming from, and we found Serena, and them hiding up in a tree, there was a big snake at the bottom slowly making it's way up towards them, James threw his spear, and stabbed the snake, trapping it to the tree. Well James tried to climb the tree to finish killing it, when the snake lashed out with it's tail and knocked him off the tree. He fell, and landed on some small rocks, and some branches. He landed pretty hard, and some of the rocks and branches broke some skin. Do you know where the first aid kit is?" I ask as I finish telling Abbie the story. I lift up James' shirt and see some of the cuts don't look too deep, but some look pretty bad because of the swelling and he bruising.

"Yeah, it's in the box by the window." She says as she gets it out and hands it to me. I use what we have to clean, and bandage him up. Jen should be happy to know that he will be okay. Banged up, and sore for the next few days, but okay none the less.

"You're doinga good thing for both Jen and James. Taking care of him like that." Abbie says from behind me.

"Yeah, well I have you to thank for that. You've changed me Abbie. You still are."

"I hope that's a good thing." She says jokingly.

I turns towards her, and wrap my arms around her waist. I slowly lean down to where our lips are inches apart, "It'll always be a good thing," I say as our lips connect. The kiss is slow, yet passionate. It's like we pour our words we can't say, our emotions we can't express into this one single kiss.

Sorry it took me so long to update, I just haven't had much time since I work almost all the time, and I had some stuff happen recently. But its all good now. I'm going to try and update more regularly, so vote, comment, share.
