"Where do you think you're going?" one of the players asked her. They saw her reaching for her mitt after she heard that Eijun is pitching for the rest of this game.
She looked straight into his eyes with an expression that said, what do you think, asshole? "Going out to the field—right field." She said to the very person who was occupying the right for the first half of the game.
"Just because you hit the ball doesn't mean shit," he grabbed her roughly by the collar. She didn't flinch one bit. Instead she glared harder. Natsumi already didn't do well when strangers was in her personal space. It made it more worse for the kid when he touched her.
"Well, tough shit," she gritted out through her teeth. "I'm going out there. You might learn a thing or two about being a good right fielder."
"You little bi—
--Just let her go. Not like it'll make a difference to our score anyways," another player said.
"Tch," the guy let her go with a shove.
"Tsuki-chan sure knows how to get along with her teammates, huh?" Miyuki snickers to Furuya. The first-year pitcher stared at the female right fielder who was jogging to the outfield. He was so intrigued on how easily she hit that pitch like it was nothing. He wondered if she could hit his.
He doubted it. Furuya has faith in his pitches like he has faith in Miyuki.
He furrowed his eyebrows when he sees Natsumi not go too far out to the right field. She should be farther out but there she was stretching her legs.
"She must have faith in Sawamura-kun," Miyuki said as he read the look on Furuya's face.
And faith she had in him. Eijun hadn't given up any runs yet. But when Masuko got up there for batting she stepped back as if she predicts what will happened next.
"Why the hell is that girl in right field," Jun's voice roared not caring if the girl heard him pretty much insult her abilities as a right field player.
"She wants to be a right fielder," Furuya's quiet voice answered to the scary senpai of his.
"She has amazing intuition," Miyuki said regarding to her batting skills even if she only was at bat once. But no first year should hit a side arm pitch that easily. Especially one who has only played sandlot baseball with no real coach.
Miyuki couldn't help but snicker at the sight of Masuko hitting Eijun's pitches easily and finally hitting one out of the park.
Or so they thought.
The first string of third years watch as the ball went towards left field. They watched closely at the girl who was looking at the ball not moving as if she was figuring out a problem. And in one instant without warning she sprinted towards the fence.
"What the hell is she doing?" Jun was yelling as he clung to the fence.
And in one move she stepped onto the fence—using the momentum to hop in the air causing the onlookers to watch in awe at the petite girl pretty much floating in the air. She didn't catch the ball much to her irritation but stopped it from being a home run. Before falling to the ground, she noticed Masuko heading home. She quickly grabbed the ball soon after her feet hit the ground and the second basemen called for the ball but she ignored him since she knew that he was doubting her skills for throwing far. She squints her eyes and pivots her leg right before throwing a strong fastball right to the catcher—
--Who totally missed the f---king ball. The catcher not prepared to catch her ball not thinking it could make it all the way to him. The ball hitting him right in the chest making it safe.
"Safe," The umpire called out.
Miyuki was even speechless. Furuya couldn't believe what he just saw along with the rest of their teammates who forgot about the run but more on the female left field player throwing a fast ball 200 meters away.
"You're right about her intuition," said Yuuki. "She's quick. She doesn't falter and is confident in her abilities. As the other fielders gave up on that hit she easily thought through the situation and went for it."
"She...she has a bazooka-throw," Jun said to himself. He looked at the girl in awe.
"I can't believe it," Miyuki finally spoke. They all looked at their catcher. "She's a pitcher."
"Whaaa."

"So what do you think about Tsukishima-san?" Rei asked Coach. A smirk on her face but she tried to hide her smugness. The coach doubted her when she came months ago with a file on Tsukishima. He, along with the President of the club, thought it was joke. Rei plays no jokes when it comes to baseball. She saw a bit of herself in the young girl. "Not what you expected?""She only wants to a right fielder?" he asked.
"Yep, she only goes for that."
"She may be a good pinch hitter," The coach said after much thought of her performance. "Her height goes against her. If she was taller she might have caught that ball. She would be good as a baseman since her reflexes are fast, she doesn't waver under pressure, and she has a good arm."
"I didn't know much about her arm since she hasn't been going full out with her teammates since they only see this as an after school 'hobby'," she replies. "I think she's been holding back. I was just as shocked as you were."
"When she threw that ball...I swore it looked like she was pitching," he finally said.
"I agree."
