Natsumi's eyes widened when she saw that Furuya's first pitch of their practice game was hit easily. She was already feeling sour for not playing since Shirasu is. Their team was playing against Osaka Kiryu high baseball team. That hit was an easy homerun. Right after that he kept pitching ball after ball with no strikes. She can tell that those first two homeruns was weighing in on the pitcher. Hell, it happened to her. She looked down at the palm of her hands. One of the pressures of being a pitcher was that all that weight can be put on you. And with a team like Seido? You have to pitch up to high standards. Ryo-Senpai and Cheetah-senpai did a double play causing Natsumi and Haruichi too react in awe. She turned to him.
"Your brother is amazing, Haru-chan," she told him with sparkling eyes. Haruichi still couldn't help but blush at that nickname. It gotten use to it with Eijun but when a cute girl like Natsumi says it too him; he can't help but become flustered.
"Brother is amazing," he agrees.
They finally came back and a fuming Furuya sat beside her. He ignored Eijun's pleads to switch out. She sighed at her loud friend. She grabbed the towel that was draped over her neck and hands it too him.
"You look exhausted," she told him. "Do you need a towel," she said. He looked at her with skeptical eyes before grabbing it. "Do you need water," she asked. He nods.
"Here you go," Haruichi hands it to him.
"Oh, what is this?" Miyuki smirks. God, Natsumi hate that damn smirk so much. "You're pretty friendly with Furuya-san."
"He's my teammate," she said like it was the most obvious thing ever. Her eyes went back to the field. She noticed the aura around their ace pitcher, Tachi. After seeing the first few hits from their players she said, "He has a heavy pitch."
"You noticed that from here, Tsukki-chan?" Natsumi decided to ignore him. Her eyes fixated on their team captain who seemed relaxed and calm at the first base.
"Captain is amazing," she said with a sparkling aura around her as she witnessed her captain hit the ball into left fence.
"That's why he's captain," Eijun agrees.
After more innings, Furuya kept giving up balls. He called a time out and had a talk with Miyuki. Natsumi watched from the stands as Miyuki laughed at whatever the pitcher said and whatever Miyuki replied with Furuya gave a surprised look to his senpai. After that his pitches was better letting them hit. The hit went straight to center field to Isashiki. He caught it easily and threw it all the way to first base getting another out.
"Wow, he's...he has a cannonball arm," she said out loud causing Haruichi to chuckle. Huruichi couldn't help but be amused by Natusmi. She may have this air of superiority and calamity but sometimes she's an open book when she is amazed. As they came to the dug out Natsumi stood and walked right up to the bearded senpai.
He glared at her and crossed his arms. They did leave on bad terms in Miyuki's room. But all that went out the window when she witnessed his cannonball arm.
"You're...your—
--Natsu likes you now," Eijun cuts in. That caught the center fielder by surprise at that loud declaration. Eijun being the idiot he is didn't understand the problem of what he said. But everyone else did with the flustered expression Isashiki wore.
"Yes," Natsumi agreed. "You have a...a cannonball for an arm," she said with twinkling eyes. This was way different from the glare she gave him. His cheeks became redder.
