I couldn't stop thinking about him after I had left, it felt weird to be honest, like a like kind of weird. I understand why he didn't want me to drop him off at his house on my way after our Thursday meet up. I didn't care about that, I care about him .. wait what ?.
I woke up Monday morning with a feeling Ive never actually felt before, I want to go to school, I actually want to sit in Biology for an hour and five-teen minutes, But not in the back of class .. next to Shawn. After driving for what seemed to be forever, I parked my car in the student parking lot and headed for my first class of the day. I went to my locker and I grabbed my Math textbook, I saw some of my friends call me over at the end of the hall so i went over to them.
" Hey Taylor " Cameron said and some of the other guys
" Whats up guys "
" So, I heard that you've been getting around with the New boy " He says with a smirk, I laugh it off
" Yeah so have you made it to third base yet, If you know what I mean, or do you not remember " Nate says
" Shut up you guys, its not like that, hes just some guy thats helping me pass this freaking Biology class " I say felling guilty
I look toward the end of the hallway and I see Shawn getting his books from his locker and closing it ever so lightly behind him, I continue talking to my friends as he approaches me
" Hey Taylor, so are we still meeting up for review on Thursday " He says politely asking me
My friends are looking away trying not to laugh and I cant be nice when they are around or my whole reputation is blown, I laugh to myself and respond in the most cockiest voice .. spo my friends will believe me.
" Yeah, In your dreams " I say smiling lowly
He looks at me with disbelief , and walks away I can hear my friends whispering in the back " wheres your sweater " to him but he just keeps walking on, I am soo tempted to just run after him but i don't
There goes sitting with him in Biology
Later, I was getting fed up with what I said to him, so I did what I have been thinking doing, since this morning. before I knew it I was driving to Shawn apartment.
I pull up his front door and knock lightly .. I wait until he opens the door
I stare at him not wanting to look away, eventually I do
" Hey "
" what are doing here again " he says
" I want to say im sorry " I say
I contiue
" listen Shawn, I was hoping we were still on for Thursday ? " I ask
" Okay so not so anyone knows right .. like just us " He says slowly
" Yeah well I just think we can surprise Mr.Perkins by passing the test coming up you know " I say
" So we will do it all in secret, like we can be secret friends " He says with a smile
" Exactly, Exactly its like your reading my mind " I say excitedly
" great umm , maybe you could read mine "
I stare at him with a confused look a
And he walks back into his apartment with out a word .. I can tell hes upset
" Shawn, please listen, I cant just be your friend .. your different in a good way " I say
" Look, Taylor I thought I saw something in you, something great but i guess i was wrong " he says
With that, he closed the door and I left .. I have to make it up to him
