Meh POV
Shane awoke on an unfamiliar sofa, his arms wrapped around something warm. He reluctantly opened his tired eyes, but once he had he was graced with the sight of Joey's face. He looked down his body, their legs were entangled, and fingers intertwined. Memories from yesterday flood back into Shane's mind; the breakup between he and Lisa, kissing Joey, watching stupid movies on the sofa until they fell asleep. Shane had to admit, this was one of the best moments he had experienced. The sun was shining through the curtains creating gold streaks on the wooden floor, lighting up the room, but not shining in their faces, allowing a serene sleep. Joey's face, was still and peaceful, and hardly any distance from his own. Shane, refusing to getup, nuzzled back into Joey's warm embrace, and drifted off to sleep once again.
Joey awoke an hour or so later, feeling the same joy Shane had. Squinting he looked to the wall clock for the time; half two. Joey was surprised by how late they had slept, and despite not wanting to, he unwrapped himself from Shane, and stood. He and Shane had a few chores to do today, so Joey thought he may as well get to it. This, of corse, had nothing to do with letting Shane sleep.
They did have things to do today though. One, being how Shane has to find somewhere to stay, and two, the most dramatic, getting his stuff from Lisa's. But, hopefully, she would be an adult about the situation and not make a scene.
Joey stepped out of a steaming shower thirty minuets later, hot water rolling off of his body onto the floor. He grabbed a fluffy blue towel from the rack, and quickly scrubbed his head, then wrapped it around his waist, making his way to his room(bc in this realm not everyone has a joint bathroom)
Joey walks into his room, making sure he closes the door behind him so Shane wouldn't see him or something; but to no avail, because the blue eyed boy was happily perched on the edge Joey's bed.
"Jesus, Shane!" Joey exclaimed, jumping back a little. Shane began laughing, hard. "Shane, that's not funny! I could have had a heart attack!" Shane had doubled over, now laying on Joey's bed, and holding his sides. His laughter eventually died down, and when he looked at Joey, he was greeted with a grade A bitchface.
"Awe, don't give me that face."
"What do you mean, you nearly gave me a heart attack..." Joey went off into a mini-tirade, but Shane spaced out, all of his attention being drawn to Joey's wet bare chest. "Shane," Joey said and snapped. "Are you even listening to me?" Shane gave the adorable boy in front of him a crooked smile.
"Sorry, it's just so hard to concentrate when you're all like, that." Shane reasoned motioning toward Joey's body. Joey's cheeks blossomed pink, and his eyes fell to the floor.
"Shut up." Joey mumbled walking over to his dresser. He pulled out a pair of red and black striped briefs, and slid them on under his towel. "What time did you want to go to Lisa's?" He asked bringing the towel up to his head, and dried it a bit more.
"I don't want to." Shane sighed walking over to Joey, once there he placed his hands on Joey's bare hips. "I kinda have to though, don't I." He sighed pecking Joey's lips.
"Afraid so." Joey laughed, bringing his hand up to the nape of Shane's neck, pulling his head down to reconnect their lips, keeping the connection for just a little longer than a peck.
"You know-" Joey tried, but he was interrupted by the loud shrill of his phone going off. "I'll be right back." He smiled to Shane then walked off into another room. Shane sighed sinking back down onto Joey's bed.
"Hello?" Joey asked through the phone, and sitting down on the sofa.
"Hey bro!" Nicole's voice chimed through the phone.
"Well look who finally wants to talk to her brother." Joey joked in mock anger.
"Yeah, yeah. Be glad I'm calling now." She laughed. "I've missed you! You're going to have to come down, like, soon!"
"Yeah, I've been wanting to, just busy I guess."
"Yeah, I suppose we all are." She paused, as if this brought up some less pleasant thoughts, but quickly regained her bubbly manner. "So anything new?"
"Like what?"
"I don't know, met anyone?"
"You were quick to jump to my love life."Joey groaned.
"Sorry that I'm interested in you're life." Nichole sassed. Joey groaned once more, forcing himself off the sofa to ask Shane.
"You're such a pest." Joey teased. "Hold on." Joey took the phone away from his ear to talk to Shane. "Hey, would you mind if I told my sister I about us- whatever we are?" Shane smiled, almost excitedly.
"Yeah, if you're ready." Joey smiled bringing the phone back up to his ear.
"There better have been someone about to kill you." She warned as Joey began walking back downstairs. Joey only ignored her.
"Do you remember Shane?"
"Dawson, the youtuber?"
"Yeah him."
"Then yes. Joey, you had like some kind of obsession with his videos when you were younger, remember."
"Well, you asked about my love life earlier, and well, he and I are kind of together." She was silent for a moment, making a once confident Joey nervous. "Nichole?"
"Sorry. Processing. Are you happy?"
"Of corse, what kind of question is that?"
"Don't get all pissy, I'm happy you're happy." Joey smiled to himself.
"Thanks."
"But you know this means you're going to have to come sooner, right?"
"We just got together, Nichole." Joey pointed out.
"So?"
"So, it's not time to meet the family."
"But Joey." She whined. "I want to meet him."
"You could always come here."
"Nah, you won't take that long."
"Whatever. I've got to go. I'll see you whenever."
"Bye."
Joey sat his phone down on the coffee table, and trudge back upstairs to get dressed.
