Filler chapter. :) It's more about Ambrose's situation than Jah and Chres.

- Chresanto.
The party went great. I was content with how everything went, excluding the fact that Jah went with Jacob. There was no doubt in my mind that I was jealous. Unless it was me, I couldn't see Jah with anyone else. Jah was something special; something that couldn't be duplicated if you tried. I was starting to see beyond her façade. She didn't really think high of herself as she tried to. She was the most average teenager walking, and that was proved by how she danced and acted tonight. Her shell—and that ice—was broken.
Based on the way Jah was acting, it was clear as day that she was starting to become miserable in that little bullshit relationship of hers. It was actually kind of amusing; it hadn't even been a good week yet and she was already looking miserable. Jacob's not going to last. He was so busy chasing pussy that he couldn't even keep up with Jah. I knew there was someone he had his eyes on. Someone had him out of his right mind. I honestly didn't care who it was; as long as the person kept on doing what they were doing, I was in the clear with Jah.
Melissa rambled on about something that I really didn't care about as I walked her to her dorm room. I wasn't really listening to anything she was saying the whole night, unless it was actually worth listening to. She talked too damn much for my liking. If she learned not to talk so much, she'd actually be a little more attractive. We stopped at her door and she turned to me with a smile on her face.
"I really had fun tonight, Chresanto," Melissa said. We were already holding hands on the way back, so it didn't bother me when she held my other hand. From the friendship we had, I knew she was very touchy. It didn't bother me none. "I'm really glad you decided to take me."
"Really? Even after that ice game?" I joked. She chuckled slightly. "I'm joking. Sorry that I did that in front of you. You were supposed to be my date, and doing that was completely disrespectful."
She waved her hand away dismissively. "Don't even worry about it. It was just a game." She gave me yet another one of her cute smiles, but I could see right through it. It was obvious that she felt some type of way, but I couldn't really do anything except for apologize. Melissa should've known that this date was platonic.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah, yeah. It's cool."
What Melissa did next took me by surprise; she stood on her tippy toes and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It was a pretty bold move of her, but I did appreciate it. Don't get me wrong; Melissa's a very cute girl. She had a good head on her shoulders, a hood mentality, and she's fun to be around when she's not talking so much. Melissa had it going on, but Jah was way better. Jah had an edge to her that made her sexy. She's one of a kind, and that's what I need in a girl. She's the one who could set me straight.
"Good night, Chresanto." Melissa said before going into her room. She gave a small grin before shutting her door.
I sighed and headed towards the elevators. I pressed for the elevator and waited patiently. As I waited, I reminisced on the events of the night. The party went better than I thought. There was tension in the air, but no one felt like addressing it. I was pretty surprised that nobody started scrapping outside of the party. Usually, it'd be two girls duking it out on the concrete or a group of guys trying to jump somebody. It was good Jacob didn't drink hard tonight; if he would've gotten an ounce liquid courage, his ass would've been handed to him on a platter.
