Suzie never thought she would be sitting here with Kai's hands entertwined with her own. The boy who she thought she would never meet let alone be with. Suzie smiles remembering the day she first met Kai, a day that started out bad.
Walking into Coldstone Ice Cream parlor for her shift Suzie notices that things are unusually slow.
"Hey where is everyone?" Suzie asks Blondie, her co worker and also her roommate.
"Heart2Heart is having a meet and greet. Remember?" She says.
"Oh yea." Suzie says. Truth be told Suzie hadn't remembered at all, more because of the fact she knew she wouldn't be able to go. She would have loved to meet Kai McMinn. Just then a group of boys walks through the doors.
"Hi. What can I get you?" Suzie says looking up straight into Kai McMinn's face. "Oh, you're Kai McMinn."
"Yes." Kai says laughing. "Sorry if I caught you offguard."
"No. You're fine, I mean..." Suzie says pausing."What can I get you?" After filling all five boys' orders Suzie starts wiping down tables. Staying as far away from Heart2Hear as possible going over what happened in her head. Can't believe I couldn't even sound like I had some sense. I should have handled myself so much better. She kept saying to herself.
Convo at Heart2Heart's table:
"I think someone has a crush." David Lehre says.
"What? I do not!" Kai exclaims taking his eyes off Suzie
"You haven't been able to take your eyes off her" Julian says.
"Dude go ask her out already" Cody says.
"No. I can't" Kai says.
"Why not?" Colby asks
"I'm too nervous to." Kai explains.
"You're going to ask for her number before we leave." Cody says.
"No." Kai says.
"Yes. We're not leaving until you do." David Lehre says.
"You can't do that" Kai says.
"Considering he's the one driving he can." Julian points out.
"Fine" Kai says watching Suzie walk over to the register to help out her co-workers.
Suzie helping Blondie.
"Someone can't keep his eyes off you" Blondie says.
"Oh please." Suzie says rolling her eyes, "I made a complete fool of myself in front of him."
"That doesn't seem to matter to him." Blondie says "Oooh he's walking over here."
"What?!" Suzie exclaims looking up she sees that Kai was walking towards her.
"Hi" Kai says reaching the register.
"Hi. Can I help you with something?" Suzie says.
"Coud I have your number?" Kai asks
"Yes" Suzie says as he hands her his phone so she can add her number.
"What time do you get off?" Kai asks.
"Not until 8" Suzie says.
"Alright. I'll text you then." Kai says and walks out the door where the rest of the group was waiting outside.
"Oh my gosh he asked you for your number!" Blondie says.
"Yes" Suzie says. "Now hush we need to get to work"
8 o'clock end of Suzie's shift.
Suzie's phone rings, a text from Kai Hey, how are you? Suzie: I'm fine. How are you?
I'm good. Would you like to go out sometime? Suzie: I would love too. :) Kai: Pick you up around 6? Suzie: That's perfect. Kai: Great. See you then. Night. Suzie: Night.
Suzie was so nervous and excited about her date with Kai that she couldn't go to sleep. On the other end of town Kai wasn't sleeping for the exact same reason. Come morning both were tired, but too excited to notice or even care.
"You're going on a date with Kai!" Blondie said as soon as Suzie walked into the kitchen.
"I know" Suzie says smiling. "I can barely believe it. Am I dreaming?"
"Well if you are, I must be dreaming too, becasue I'm here." Blondie says laughing.
"Ok point taken." Suzie says laughing also.
"So what are you gonna wear?" Blondie asks.
"I don'tknow. I got a coupe ideas." Suzie says. "Want to help me choose?"
"Of course." Blondie says as her and Suzie start throing out ideas for outfits.
Suzie and Blondie.
"You sure I look good?" Suzie asks Blondie.
"You look gorgeous." Blondie says. "Everything will be fine."
"I hope so" Suzie says as the door bell rings. "Oh. He's here."
"You look beautiful Suzie." Kai says taking in her curled hair, black skirt, form fitting shirt, and heals.
"Thank you. You look great too." Suzie says not being able to tke her eyes off him in black skinny jeans, a red t-shirt, and white converses.
"Thanks. Are you ready to go?" He asks smiling.
"Yes" Suzie replies also smiling.
Kai drives them to a little resturant Suzie didn't know existed. There they had dinner and got to know more about each other. They found out they both had a love for dancing and music in general. They also both liked Kpop. After dinner they went to the park, had ice cream, talked more, and also walked around.
"I had so much fun tonight" Suzie says turnign around to face Kai as they near her front door.
"I did too." Kai says smiling "Will you let me take you out again?"
"Yes." Suzie said. "I thought you would never ask."
"Oh really?" Kai says acting smug. "Well I be you thought I wouldn't do this either." as he leans in and kisses her.
"No, I didn't" Suzie says as he pulls away. "i'm glad you did though. I'm als glad I finally got to meet you."
"I'm glad I met you." Kai says giving her one more kiss. "Goodnight. Sweet dreams."
"Sweet dreams." Suzie says watching him walk back towards his car. After he drives away Suzie goes inside n goes to bed her thoughts only of him. Kai gets home and goes to bed his thoughts only of her. If only they knew how much they were fated to be together.
