I was sitting in the nursery with Hope and Hayley. Ever since we discovered that Jackson's heart had been stolen, I didn't want her to be alone. That's what I told her, at least but the truth was that I was trying to keep myself in check.

My mind had been filled with dark thoughts lately, thoughts of killing and torturing Aurora and the Strix, especially Aya.

Klaus had crafted Hope a new knight, so she was content at the moment. I watched as she played with it and her other toys. Hayley was playing with her too and I smiled at the sight.

Hayley and I had officially reconciled, I wouldn't say that we were friends again, but we were no longer enemies. Nothing like death to bring two people back together.

Hayley had asked the pack to help us find Aurora and they just did. So here I was, walking in the wee hours of the morning towards the place they were suppose to be. I had asked Hayley to stay and protect Hope while I checked this out.

There was a train car up ahead and I walked towards it and noticed by the sign that it used to be a post office car. I walked inside and made my way down the hallway, looking around, on guard. I didn't want any surprises. Jazz music was playing from an old gramophone, I came across some curtains and knew that something had to be behind it. So I slowly walked towards them and when I ripped them open, there was nobody in the room.

I furrowed my brows in confusion, I walked into the room and when I heard the sound of creaking, I quickly turned my head in the direction I heard. I looked towards the door that was at the end of the hallway, exactly opposite from where I was standing. I knew then that I was not alone in here.

I slowly started to walk towards it before I sensed something. I turned to my right and noticed that there was also a door here, hidden. I opened it and a body fell out. I recognized who it was instantly.

"Lucien," I sneered as I pulled his head back by his hair.

He was bound, gagged and desiccated, he had obviously been here awhile. I glared at him as I removed the gag and he started to pant for breath.

"Get . . . Klaus . . . out of here," he told me, weakly.

I frowned in confusion before my expression turned into worry. Oh no. It's a trap.

I had brought Lucien back to the compound and called Marcel, I had practically bitten his head off and we were still arguing over what his precious Strix did to the two people I love. Lucien was currently feeding to replenish himself and watching us.

"I had no idea that Aya was gonna take Klaus and Elijah down!" Marcel told me. "And regardless, why the hell are we trusting this guy all of a sudden, huh? He's the one who ran off with Aurora the first chance he got."

"You can hardly fault a man for following his heart," Lucien said. "Yet, the moment she started raving about firing White Oak into Klaus, well words were said, hearts broken and veins drained."

"That's what you get for falling in love with that psychotic bitch," I told him before turning on Marcel. "And you're one to talk about trust. Who was it that handed my dead brother's heart to the people that helped murder him?!"

"I bought your life with that heart," he defended himself, making me scoff. "But hey, you know what? You called me here, so if you have another plan? Please, let's hear it."
