-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I drove down the empty road in the stolen sky blue truck. I was breathing heavily, I thought I could escape this, I thought this time would be different.

I was so stupid!

I banged my head against the sterring wheel, jumping when the horn went off, then remembered that I was driving. I took several deep breaths trying to calm down, and I heard my phone go off. I looked over for a second, then suddenly the truck jumped up and I looked up just in time to see a tree. I shrieked then felt my head slam into the steering wheel, hearing the windowshield break from a branch.

My vision got blurry and I could hear a dull ringing. Looking around, the phone was still in the passenger's seat. Why did I even take it? I looked down and unbuckled the seat belt, then turned grabbing my backpack from the back seat and opening up the door. I stumbled then fell out, the ringing becoming more and more prominent. I stumbled up, trying to get away as fast as I could. I ran into the forest, but that only made me feel even more scared. I was jumping at anything that moved,  I was terrified.

There was a soreness in my chest and arm, and I looked down to see small pieces of glass were embedded into my skin. I slowed down and leaned against a tree to look at the damage. I took a deep breath and ripped it off. I yowled in pain then quickly bit my lip to shut myself up, doing the same for the rest of the glass pieces. I stood there gaining my composure, then jogged away from the truck. That was their truck, and I really didn't need to be connected to them right now. Right now, not ever.

I heard a police siren and started panicking again. I raced through the forest as fast as I could, praying to God the police wouldn't find me. Not here, not ever.

I felt tears well up in my eyes and I furiously wiped them away so I could see. I could feel it in my chest, those loving people, now torn to shreds, why the hell did I let them in?!

I stumbled over a log, hearing some voices, and I quickly crawled into the hollowed out log. I slowed down my breathing, listening, waiting. Nothing happened. I slowly crawled out and looked around, but I saw no one there.

Signing, I readjusted the strap of my backpack and stared jogging away from the truck, away from everything that happened
