"I really don't want to be here today," Alexa sighed, as I pulled into my parking space, in the student parking lot.

"Yeah? Well that makes two of us" I say, grabbing my Jansport backpack, from the backseat.

In the process, hitting Alexa in the head by accident. "Ow Ari," she whined, rubbing her temple.

"Sorry, you shouldn't be in the way," I tell her. She frowns, but shrugs and holds the side of her head.

I get out, and feel the cool air hit my body. Maybe a short dress wasn't the ideal outfit for this windy day.

Ah well.

I hear my heels click and clack against the asphalt beneath my Saint Laurent pumps.

Alexa follows near me, her nose buried into her phone. I shake my head, continuing to approach the school.

West View High.

Senior year, thank God.

After this I was going to UC, all the way across the map. I'd be home free, and living my own life.

Florida was great, and I loved growing up here, but I wanted to get away, be independent, do something for myself, by myself.

My 'boyfriend' Derek Shay, noticed me, smiled and began approaching me.

He's been totally in love with me since 6th grade, but I always rejected him, until the beginning of this year.

He's captain of the football team, quarterback to be exact. He's drool worthy, and totally sweet.

But.. I didn't love him.

I barely even liked him, only Alexa knew the truth though. Him and everyone else.. thought we were inseparable lovers.

I know this sounds bad, but I only stay with him because, he would do anything and everything to make me happy, and.. the guy's great beneath the sheets.

He grinned at me, as he approached me, and I faked a smile.

"Hey beautiful," he greeted, briefly kissing me on the lips.

"Hey baby," I said.

"Will you come to practice and wait for me today, I wanna take you to dinner after," he said.

Alexa awed and I elbowed her.

"Derek, practice is three hours, it's gonna be hot," I said, making his facial features turn sad.

"Yeah you're right.. what was I thinking?, I wouldn't want you to overheat, I'm sorry princess," he kissed my forehead gently.

I cupped his cheeks in my soft small hands, and he smiled at me. "You look extra beautiful today, I love that dress on you angel," he says, and Alexa awes again.

I look over at her, giving her a look. She nods in understanding, walking away quickly.

"You look extra handsome today yourself," I say, running my left hand down his chest slowly.

He presses his lips to mine, and I kiss him back. When he pulls away, he grins goofily.

"What?," I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing, I just.. love you," he says, keeping the grin on his faint red lips.

"I love you too," I say, trying to make it sound believable.

The bell rings, and he kisses me once more. "I'll see you in lunch," he tells me.

"Mkay," I say.

Alexa walks back over to me, and smiles at me, wiggling her eyebrows.

"What now?,"

"Any girl would kill to be with Derek Shay, what's the matter with you, the boy is goo goo heart eyes, stupidly in love with you, you should at least be happy about that,"

"I just.. don't love him like that Lexi,"

She nods slowly. "I know, but maybe things will change this year, ya know?,"

I nod.

"Maybe," I say, as we walked inside the school.

Maybe things will change, maybe I'll finally fall in love.

Maybe I'll finally be with my true love.

Maybe Ariana.. but maybe it's not who you think it is.. mwahahaa. Ariana is very different in this book. I portray her as a bad ass version. Like she don't have feelings, she does what she wants, she's queen B. And don't hate on Derek, for all those jariana shippers reading!!

Derek is actually a very sweet guy, and is an excellent boyfriend to Ariana. He really does love her, Ariana just doesn't feel the same, and basically uses him.
