"Merry Christmas, you filthy animal... And a happy New Year!" I said along with the tv. Spending New Year's Eve alone wasn't all that bad. I didn't have my mom telling me to do things. I had the whole house to myself. And I don't have to worry about the New Year's Eve party my mom throws every year.
Fine, I'm lying.
Nothing is worse then spending the holidays by yourself. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I had a dog to keep me company. I've always wanted one but my parents wouldn't want it in the house. I just wish my parents could be here, but they're out having a nice time in who knows where. I highly doubt that it's a business trip. I'm seriously going to get a dog.
'Aye, open the gate!'
I read the little message that popped up on my phone. The number wasn't even saved and it wasn't a number I recognized.
'Who is this?' I texted back.
He texted a few seconds later saying, 'Your favorite twin:)' with his picture.
I was kinda shocked when I saw that it was Grayson but you can imagine the smile I had all over my face. I like Grayson and that says a lot because I don't like just anyone.
'Cute one at that lol;)'
'Mmm, you flirting with me Val?'
'Mmm, maybe just a tad bit...' I mocked him and went up to the front door and typed in the code to open the gate. They drove up my drive way and Grayson climbed out of the truck before Ethan could even stop.
"Feliz año nuevo Valentina!" He ran up to me, picking me up and spinning me around. I knew this boy for what? Two weeks and he's this comfortable with me. I got to say I'm impressed. It took Kyle a whole month when I met him. I remember he was so nervous to talk to me but he doesn't even acknowledge me now. Says a lot...
This boy really isn't afraid of what I would think of him. Most people would be intimidated and won't even want to speak to me. Some say I have the resting bitch face and I blame my dad for that. I've even encountered people who were completely fake and only wanted to be around me for what I have. Then there's Grayson who acts like we've been knowing each other for years. I really hope they aren't like all of the others.
And then there was Ethan who took his time to get out of the truck.
"What? No hug?" I said playfully.
