Ethan's POV:
| Later that day |
You're really going to be with her alone for the first time as friends. Okay Ethan keep calm and keep your cool. She's just a girl. Just two friends hanging out. That's it.
"Dude, are you talking to yourself?" I looked over to see Grayson just looking at me with strange eyes. That's when I realized that yes, I was in matter of fact talking to myself.
"You're so whipped it's actually kinda cute." He laughed and got in the truck when he saw Valentina walking towards me. I hate him for backing out on our plans. But then again I was going to be alone with her so maybe I should thank him. I know she's still with Kyle but there's obviously nothing there. She deserves way better.
"Good luck and relax! You two were made for each other!" He said rather quickly so she wouldn't hear. He waved to her and drove off. She had this huge smile on her face and it literally made my heart melt. She was so beautiful but I'm sure she knew that already.
"Catch." She said, breaking me out of my thoughts by tossing her keys to me. I caught them without a problem. I don't know what's up with girls and all these fuzzy things on their keys. She had a small grey fuzz ball, her house key, car key and an Eiffel Tower hanging from this wrist thingy. I would tell you what it's called but I honestly have no clue.
"Well are you going to stand there staring at my keys the whole time or are you gonna get in and drive?" I laughed at her little remark and walked towards her but before I knew it she began to run yelling out "race ya!" And with that I ran. I soon caught up to her, but let's just say I let her win.
"C'mon Dolan I know you can do better than that!" She teased, sounding just like coach. We got in her car and once I started it I drove out of the schools parking lot.
"What was the last thing you were listening to?" I asked and changed it so it could play whatever cd was in there.
Justin Bieber.
"That's my dad." She said giving me a cheeky smile and giggling a bit. What the hell does that mean? I will never understand females.
"As long as you love me we could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke!" She sung, getting really into the song. I smiled and sung the next verse. I couldn't sing but at least I knew the lyrics.
"As long as you love me I'll be your platinum, I'll be your silver, I'll be your gold." She turned to look at me. Her eyes went wide and she showed off her bright smile. How was Kyle ever able to cheat on her. The thought of me hurting her made my heart sink. I just wanted to hold her close and never let her go.
"Oh my God, Ethan stop the car!" She yelled.
"What why? I can't just stop."
"Pull over please." She begged and I did what I was told. I pulled over to the side, next to some abandoned building and she got out of the car. I got out myself and chased after her. I've been down this road before. It's the only way to get to where we were going but this street isn't safe. I had to hurry up and find her before someone else did.
She didn't get far. I found her hiding by the corner of the building. She motioned me to come near her and stay. I followed her gaze and saw a small dog by the dumpster. How did she even manage to see this.
