2. Try

I know it’s hard

I know it hurts

I know all you want is to let go

But you can’t.

You can never give up.

You can never lose hope

And fall into despair

You need to be strong, for you.

For me. For us.

You cannot let it win

It’s your body, and your life

I get that

But it’s my heart that will break

If you give up.

I am the one who is left

Alone, afraid, without love

I am the one who must go on

Alone, without you. Devastated.

My whole world would come to an end

It would collapse and die

Just as you would, if you give up

I can’t make this choice for you

It isn’t right.

You have to choose

Choose to live, choose to fight

Choose to love me as long as you can

Choose never to back down from a fight

Choose to live each moment to the last

That’s all I’m asking

Not for me. Not even for you.

But for the world.

For the world that would lose us both

for the friends and family

Who would suffer and never heal

For the love everyone feels for you.

Fight. Love. Live.

Try.
