Stars POV.

"Princess Star, ....Star Butterfly, it's time to wake up miss.."

I slowly sat up and started to rub my eyes while I yawned. My maid opened the long pink curtains and let in the beautiful warm sunshine. I sat there in bed wondering if I could just lay back and fall asleep again. But then I remembered what day it was. I gasped and quickly got out of bed. " I see you're quite eager to get out of bed today miss Butterfly. " My maid said with a giggle.
" Oh, is it that noticeable? " I replied to her. I headed straight to my closet to find the dress that I was saving for this day since at least three months ago. I shuffled some dresses around but I couldn't find it. Weird, I am positive that I left it right here. I checked again and again but it wasn't there! Where could it possibly have gone?
" Are you looking for this, miss Butterfly? " My maid said as she pulled it out from behind my changing curtain that was designed with yellow flowers all around. I smiled in relief that I hadn't lost my special dress after all.
" I thought it could use a nice steam before you wear it today " Her lips turned into a sweet and shy smile as she said it.

" Thank you so much, I am glad you remembered. "

" How could I forget, when today's the day when the greatest Princess in Mewini was born and brought to the castle. " she looked at me with big eyes. " My how you've grown. You look just like your mother when she also turned fourteen. "

" Really? " I said in disbelief. Did I really look like her? When I looked at her I don't see anything alike. Well, maybe our eyes and skin tone but that's all I see. I wonder what she sees. I guess I'll never find out. I gently grab the dress by the top coller with both hands and get dressed. As soon as I am done I go to by bathroom to fix my hair. I try to put in a clean and tight bun, but fail miserably. I not very good at doing hairstyles. My maid, Tally, saw me struggling and offered to help me out. " Oh thank you Tally, as you already know am not that talented with hair ".

" Don't worry Miss, I don't find it that HAIR-larious " . She snorted a bit, and mean really snorted, while she said that. It made me giggle also. " I am sorry Miss but I couldn't help myself, hehe "

" That's alright, I kinda like it when you joke around like that. It nice to really laugh once in a while " . I looked at her through the mirror I was standing in front of, and we just stood there looking at each other for one or two minutes.

" Alright, all done Miss ". She patted the bun to make sure it was in place and added a red bow, to add color I guess. I smiled and gave her hug for helping me with my hair. Which I know isn't proper, but she's my favorite maid out of all the others. She's the only person I can talk to inside the castle walls without feeling the need to act all royal and emotionless to. She looked surprised at first but than hugged me back and said " you're welcome Star ". Which made me feel like a regular person again, and mean it, I haven't felt like this in a long time, ever since, ......well, nevermind, that was a very long time ago. Sometimes I feel like I am the only person who remebers. It would have been nice to have that company again. I walked out of the bathroom and looked out my ginormous glass windows with the sunlight coming in and filling up my room. I could still see the mountain even though more trees have grown.

" Miss, your mother is waiting downstairs in the grand dining room " she spoke while closing the bathroom doors.

" I'll be right there in a couple of minutes, thank you Tally ". I sighed quietly and slowly while looking out the window still.

" And Miss? ", she asked quietly, " If I may say, ...you're not the only one who still misses her " . It like she was reading my mind again. She always knew what I was thinking about most of the time. I sighed again, but shorter this time. She soon left after a couple of seconds. After a minute had gone by I decided to go downstairs. As I pass my closet, I noticed I had forgotten to close the door. But as I began to shut it tight, I cought a glimpse of an old striped sweater, folded neatly over a brown box decorated with sunflower stickers. I felt a warm tear run down my cheek and I quickly wiped it off. " No, no, "I thought to myself, I will not be sad on this special day. I closed to closet door tightly and walked out of my room, and headed to the grand kitchen.
