KAYLA's pov

Ok. So its Friday now and me and Luke are supposed to hang out.

Oh dear... How bad will this be?

I wonder what kind of snacks he likes. Um..chocolate? Gummies? Sours? Idk. So i pull out a bunch if previously bought candy.

When i am done setting out my wide variety, i head up stairs. I get ready to work out.

I put my hair in a ponytail and put on a pretty purple nike sports bra and matching spandex.

I still have 5 hours till Luke comes over and my mom will be coming over in an hour. I do 50 push ups and then i head out side. I am a gymnast. Not professional just for fun. I have a 18x18 ft trampoline and a balance beam in my back yard.

I do my usual gymnastics routine and decide to work on skills. I do my round-off back tuck and land in splits.

Buzz buzz. I got a text from mom.

From: mom

Honey, i cannot make it to ur house today. Something at work came up and i have to ne there asap. Sorry. Ill try to come by next week. Love you

Oh. She never told me what her job is. Whatever it is she has been working there for 30 years. I am only 16 so she has worked there almost twice as long as i have been alive.

I head back inside and change. Once changed into normal clothing, i go down stairs. I get my volleyball and start bumping it around. I sit on my couch to bump. I am on the girls volleyball team for high school and have a full scholarship to any college of my choice.

I hear a knock on my door. I get up to answer. When i answer there is a little kid with a letter. The kid introduces himself as Chase Patterson. He is 8 years old.

He hands me the paper and tells me to read it. The note says...

Ok. Kayla, i know you dont know who wrote this but i will give u a hint. I am from America and u LOVE me. Text me. 0000000000 is my number.

Hm. Who could have written that? Oh well. I tell the kid thanks and he runs away. About and hour and a half later i hear another knock.

I answer the door and see luke.
I tell him to enter and he does so.

"Wanna watch Mean Girls?" i ask.
He just grins. I put on the movie and sit on the couch. Me and him are at opposite ends. About half an hour into the movie we are somehow cuddled up. He pauses the movie.

He stares me straight in the eyes. He kisses me. I feel sparks fly through me. I like the kiss.

He pulls away. I feel sad now. I want his lips on mine. I need his lips on mine.

"Will u be my girlfriend?"he asks

"OF COURSE!" i respond.

After the movie we talk. We talk and tell jokes until this. (Once again too lazy so l=luke k=kayla)

L: So i planned a vacation for next week. U wanna come?
K:Ya! Sure.
L: i have been there before and u will love it!
K:where r we going?
L:its a surprise
