In my eyes, life is beautiful. There are so many things in this life that are so undeniably beautiful that you can't help but enjoy them. Waking up for school used to be a chore until I looked out my window one morning to see the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen.

Sunrises are one of my favorite things now and I've come to hate sunsets. Sunsets signify the ending of the day; a day that wasn't promised to you. You don't know if you'll wake up in the morning. Sunrises to me, mean that I was blessed with another day. I get another opportunity to bless someone or just think about life.

I tend to get stuck in my own head sometimes. I fall back on my bed or outside on the grass and just get lost somewhere in there. My brother Andrew thinks I'm borderline insane, but what else is there to do when you have negative three friends and no social life?

It's not like I'm some awkward loner or something; I didn't exactly choose to be alone. It's not so bad when you have a pretty awesome family, but school can be a little rough. Things just aren't like they used to be. Now, I never had any crazy huge group of close friends, but I've always had one. Even he is so far out of the picture that at this point I'm not even sure if he ever counted.

School let out for summer a few days ago and the only thing I've done is rearrange my room and blast my music since no one has lived in the house next to me for months to complain about it.

Or at least no one did until this morning. I saw the moving truck and immediately shut my window and blinds so whoever it was couldn't see me hanging out in my room like a loser. Most of the noise is down by now so I'm pretty sure the new family is all settled in.

I finally came outside to read on my back porch around four this afternoon and apparently the new neighbors decided to enjoy the nice weather too. I ignored them for the most part, but now that it's nearing six, the nonstop barking of their dog is getting pretty annoying. There's another voice- I'm pretty sure it's the dad- too and it's becoming hard to concentrate on the story in my hands.

Sighing, I get up from my deck chair only to be smacked in the head with a tennis ball. I pick it up to find it covered in slobber and I glare over the fence to see a golden retriever and, surprisingly, a guy who looks about my age whose face is getting redder and redder by the second.

Nice to meet you too.

..........
