Fifteen text messages and six missed calls all from Samuel.
Those are just from today. I have to put my phone on silence at night because every once in awhile it would ring constantly and then stop for a couple hours. It has been nearly a week since that whole ordeal happened and I am still not sure how to feel about this. I have not even looked at his text messages or listened to his voicemails. I thought he would get the picture that I do not want to see him, but he is not getting it. Either that or he just does not care. I hide from him at work and I made sure to tell Mr. Dunst that I could not assist anyone for a while. Being a good boss he told all the members. When he does come to my desk I put up a sign or hide in the storage closet.
Hayden has been asking about him a lot and I do not know how to tell her that he is not going to be coming around for a while. She has obvious grown attached to him which is very shocking. Hayden usually hates my boyfriends or my guy friends. Of course, it makes me sad that my own personal problems is breaking their bond, but that is just how life works sometimes.
Daniel is sitting behind the counter because he is on break. All week him and Sophia has been trying to convince to hear what he as to say. Especially, Daniel. He feels partly responsible for my avoidance of Samuel because he was there with him. I honestly do not blame him because people have their own free will.
"Lin, don't you think that this has gone on long enough?" Daniel questions seriously "I don't even think he answered the girl's texts, if she has texted him." He adds, trying to make the situation better.
I shake my head "Danny, I just need some time to think. Why don't you, him and Sophia understand that?" I ask, working on some spreadsheets "Put yourself in my shoes." I smirk.
"Okay, yeah, I'd be pissed, too, but only for maybe two days. Harlin, you're making it seem like you don't like him anymore when we all know that is a lot of bullshit."
"It's the same thing as him putting his number in that girl's phone. He makes it seem like he doesn't like me also. You can't blame me for feeling this way."
A sigh of frustration comes out of Daniel's mouth. He covers his face with his hands then becomes quiet. I will talk to him when I feel like talking to him. I do not know when that will be but I know that I cannot avoid him forever. Eventually, I will have no other choice because there are a possibly of two things happening. Mr. Dunst is going to force me to assist him if Samuel continues to ask him (which he has been doing) or Samuel is going to corner me. That is why I am trying not to leave my desk and get caught up.
"All I am saying is listen to what he has to say." Daniel suggest, throwing his arm around my shoulder and we look at each other "Could you at least do that and stop being a stubborn asshole?"
I roll my eyes and continue to work on my spreadsheet "Goodbye, Daniel." I hiss not wanting him to be in my sight anymore.
"Daniel..." He gasps, referring to me calling him his government and not his nickname "It's like that now. Fine, I'll leave, but for the last time think about what I said." He says before he kisses my temple and walks towards the kitchen.
I email the spreadsheets to Mr. Dunst before I start to do enter the stock on the computer. It is better than being constantly harshed about doing something I do not want to do. I would rather be doing this then talking about to anyone.
"Hey, Babe, how are you?" Anthony's voice fills my ear and I hold the urge to punch him.
And, of course, my request goes ignored.
"If you don't want any equipment you can dismiss yourself away from my desk." I ignore his comment, again, not being in the mood for people.
Anthony chuckles coldly "You're attitude just seems to get worse every time we speak."
