The mother silenty swayed her newborn baby,
as she rocked back and forth in the old wooden rocker.
The babies once loud cries,
soon vanished like thin air.The mothers melodic voice filled the silent house,
as her hand made way to the babies face;
gently caressing it's soft skin.The once crying newborn,
now fast asleep,
as mother and daughter;
they sleep with peace.So, this was actually for english class... we where supposed to write a poem with a calming effect, without using the word 'calming'.
