The words replay in my head
like a tape stuck on repeat.
'You're worthless,' I remember her yelling at me.
It stung more than I put on,
my mask was up and doing it's job.
It was my first time I visited my silver shining friend,
he promised me to take away the pain; and take it away he did.
'You're only going to fail in life,' She said a second time.
The words are etched into my brain,
for me to never forget.
That was the hundredth time it seemed,
that my pain was taken away again and replaced by a burning sensation on my wrist.
The words are etched into my brain,
for me to never forget.
