I apologize for the one month gap. That was not planned I have just gotten extremely busy and I have already started writing a new chapter and it is almost done so I am trying to get back on track. Hope you like this one!
"You ready (y/n)?" Said a voice with excitement.
"No, not at all, you know how much I hate haunted houses." You huffed and crossed your arms in front of your mirror. Travis suddenly came up behind you and he wrapped his arms protectively around your waist.
"But your with me and I promise nothing bad will happen to you," he smirked. Travis suddenly leaned in closer and his lips brushed against your ear, "and if your scared you can always hold onto me."
You removed his arms from around your waist, "that's last resort," you chuckled. "Alright let's get this over with," you turned off your lamp and walked towards your door, Travis following close behind.
_ -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_"Okay, here we go, there is no turning back now, as soon as those doors close you have to walk all the way through. Are you sure you still want to do this?" Travis held your hands with concern and had a worried look plastered across his face.
"As long as I'm with you, promise me you won't leave my side?" you looked up at him with worried eyes.
"Promise," he kissed you I the forehead for confirmation. "Now let's go scare the shit out of ourselves," Travis grinned wildly as he tugged your hand towards the door.
Dear gods what did I get myself into, you thought responding to Travis's constant tugging on your arm and entered through the extravagant doors, hearing them slam shut with a bang.
Ahead of you was a long narrow hallway with a red carpet and peeling wallpaper. It was so dark you couldn't see the end of the hallway, it seemed to go on for forever.
There was a loud screech that sounded of a demon and a bang that followed short after.
"T-Travis?" You said turning to talk to him. You couldn't see him, it was way too dark so you waved your arms around you and felt nothing, but air. "Travis?" You called louder, "Travis!"
You groaned and started walking forward, he promised, you mumbled.
You turned on the flashlight on your phone walking down the narrow hall. You brought the light to the walls and saw what looked like slashes made from claws that tore the wallpaper. You brought the light down and saw what looked like blood on the toe of your shoe. You shuddered as a breeze caused goosebumps to crawl up your arms and the hairs to stand up on the back of your neck.
It's all made up, none of this is real, you thought and continued walking, but stopped abruptly when you saw the end of the hall, it just stopped at a dead end. Something was off. Travis broke his promise and left you, blood was on your shoe, and now the hall is a dead end.
Your heart stopped as you heard a hissing noise from behind you, getting closer. You slowly turned around only to be met with an emposai. It's fangs were bared and they looked ready to kill, you absentmindedly didn't bring any weapons with you, not thinking you would need them.
"T-Travis?" You called your eyes darted around the hall nervously.
The emposai advanced on you slashing your face, knocking you to the ground. You cried out as the blood dripped into your eyes. You kicked one of the legs of the creature and it sent them to the ground.
You frantically got up and raced down the barren hall with the monster still on your tail.
"Travis!" You screamed, "Travis!"
Suddenly a door on the side burst open with a bloody Travis jogging out two daggers in hand. He tossed one your way and you caught it effortlessly.
"Y/n are you okay?" He glanced at the slash marks across your face cutting deep above your right eye.
"I'm fine for now, we just need to get out of here."
The emposai quickly lunged at you both, but simultaneously you both stabbed it in the chest and neck making it crumble into dust, returning the monster to Tartarus.
Breathing heavily you glanced at Travis, "why did you leave me?" you wondered, remembering the events that lead up to the attack.
"Long story short I opened a door and I was joined by a few other emposai, they dragged me into the door, but I killed them both. And before we left I grabbed two daggers just in case, and gods I am glad I did or we would both be dead," he explained looking into your eyes his hair draped across his forehead.
"Okay, well I forgive you then, let's get out of here, this place gives me the creeps," you said leaning into him.
"Hey, hey not so fast, let me see that gash on your face," Travis lifted your chin to look at your wound. "Okay we have to get you back to camp, I didn't bring much ambrosia and it cuts pretty deep." He handed you the little bit that he had and you popped it into your mouth, the sensation of the hot chocolate your dad used to make on cold winter days filled your mouth. The pain faded to only a small stinging and the cut was healed to a scar, still some blood above your eye.
"Okay, won't this look suspicious to the people outside though?" You asked.
"There was an exit in the back, by that door I was dragged into, come one no one should see us back there." Travis took your hand and pulled you over to the door you were both standing by. He lead you to the exit of the theme park and you got on the bus that would take you closest to Camp Half-Blood.You took the seat in the back and Travis plopped down in the seat next to you. You laid your head on his shoulder, sighing lightly.
"I love you y/n," Travis whispered into your hair, kissing the top of your head.
"I love you too Travis," you snuggled closer to him and drifted off into sleep with Travis's arm wrapped tightly around you, keeping the nightmares away.Alright I hoped you liked this chapter! If you have any ideas for the next X reader feel free to PM me or comment! A new chapter will be up soon!
