Part 6: Turn Around

I came back from Michigan state and after that I hadn't talked to him in about 6 months. He called, and called. And voicemail after voicemail I never answered nor listened to them. Shawn blew up my phone for like 4 months straight. At one point I had to even change my phone number but that only stopped the calls for like 2 weeks. Who knows how he got my new number. But anyways, I went back to college in Michigan and face timed Jack almost everyday I was gone. The thing was...I was sort of starting to like Jack and not in a bestfriend kind of way...like maybe something more and I don't know how he feels but I hope he likes me too in a way. Seeing Shawn yesterday at my birthday party Was really awkward considering that I was starting to like Jack a little."Hey babygirl." Jack said "hey bestfriend. Whatcha doin?" I asked. "Nothing much just talking to a beautiful girl in front of me." "Oh stop it!" I said blushing. "I want to talk to you about something..." He said quietly. "Sure anything." I replied. "It's about 'us'. When you here 'us' do you think about like bestfriends or do you think about maybe something more?.." "Maybe..." I said sitting on the kitchen counter winking. He smirked. "So about the Shawn thing...um... Do you still have feelings for him?" He asked looking at the floor. "Look Jack, Shawn is none of my concern. The whole 'Shawn' situation is a mess. And it's something that I don't want to talk about when I comes to us." He put his fingers in the loops of my jeans, pulled me closer and kissed me. "Thank you Jack." I said quietly. "For what?" He asked confused. "For everything. For being there when I needed you. For talking to me when I needed some one to talk to. I love you Jack. I don't thank you enough, So thank you." "He kissed me again and said, "no problem babygirl and same to you. I love you too."
