A single tear streamed down Amelia's face. She was standing in front of Jason's desk, which had countless papers, binders, and folders scattered across it. The bright lights in the room did nothing to hide the fact that she was crying. In fact, it only made it more noticeable.

"I'm so sorry." Jason whispered.

"Save it." Amelia spat. "We're done." She ran out of his room and clambered down the stairs, her vision blurry from the tears that were clouding her vision.

"Amelia, please don't leave." Jason called out after her from his doorway upstairs. She pulled on her boots and looked up to see Jason coming down the stairs after her. Quite quickly, she might add.

"What? So you can just humiliate me more than you already have? I don't think so." She commented bitterly. Amelia opened the door to face the rain that was pouring down outside.

"At least let me give you a ride home." Jason nodded towards the door. "It's pouring."

"Great observation," Amelia rolled her eyes. "But I think you've done enough."

"Amelia..." Jason called out, his voice noticeably cracking. "I love you."

"Just stop." She said sadly, the tears still streaming down her cheeks. With that being said she ran out into the night, down the front steps and the stones that lead from his house to the street. The rain pelted her face, mixing with her salty tears. The soft patter if the rain did nothing to calm her like it usually would. She stepped onto the street, ready to cross to the other side when she heard Jason screaming her name and a bright light clouded her vision.

Then she heard nothing.
