The Fox

I woke up to a loud bang.

I got up and quickly ran to the cellar.

Once I opened the door I saw Malia.

She looked really scared.

"What's wrong?" I asked

She pointed at the corner.

There sitting in the corner was a fox.

"Oh my god." I said with wide eyes.

"It's Liz." Malia said.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"I came down here a second ago. Liz wasn't feeling well and then she turned into that." Malia explained.

"Well what do we do?" I asked while grabbing the chains on the floor, turning them into a leash.

"I don't know, call Scott." Malia panicked.

I quickly ran back up the stairs bumping into my dad.

"Woah why in such a hurry?" My dad asked making me tense up.

"No reason- There isn't a fox in the cellar- why don't you love me." I said before quickly running past him.

I got into my room shutting the door behind me letting out a sigh of relief.

I grabbed my phone dialing Scott's number.

It only took two rings before he picked up.

"Hey Nikki, what's up?" Scott asked.

"Liz- fox- help me." I freaked out.

"Calm down. Bring her to the clinic, I'll tell Deaton you're going." Scott said before hanging up.

I quickly changed and grabbed my backpack before running back down to the cellar.

"We need to get her to the clinic." I said as I grabbed the chain leash.

"How do we get a fox out of here without Mom and Dad seeing it?" Malia asked.

"You make sure the coast is clear and I'll do the rest." I said as she nodded.

Malia looked out the door before motioning me to go.

I picked up Liz and super speed ran out of the house.

I put Liz in Malia's car as Malia ran out.

"Don't you think people will be confused as to why two teenage girls have a fox in the back of their car?" Malia asked as Liz stood up in the back seat.

"Um...Liz lay down." I said sternly as she laid down on the floor of the back of the car so she wasn't visible.

"How did you know that was going to work?" Malia asked as we got in the car.

"I didn't. Let's go." I said while she started the car and drove off to the animal clinic.

Once we got to the clinic we parked in the back.

I grabbed the leash and got Liz out of the car.

We all walked towards the back door as Deaton opened it.

We walked into the surgery room and Liz jumped onto the steel table.

"Okay you kids get to school. I'll call you if anything happens." Deaton said as we nodded before leaving.
