It Can't Swim

I was sitting at my desk doing homework when my phone vibrated.

Scott- Come outside.

I got up and grabbed a jacket slipping it on before heading outside.

Once I opened the door I saw Scott in his mom's car parked in front of my house.

"What are you doing here?" I asked while yawning before getting into the car.

"Stiles saw the Kanima." Scott said before beginning to drive.

We got to the mechanics and picked up Stiles.

"What did you see?" I asked right away.

"It was definitely the Kanima, but it was weird. It felt like I knew it and it knew me." Stiles said making me confused.

"What do you mean?" Scott asked.

"It was like Halloween where you see someone with a mask on but you somehow know who it is." Stiles said.

"So you know who it is?" I asked with excitement.

"No but it looked familiar." Stiles said making me groan in frustration.

This wasn't worth not doing my homework.

I was walking down the hall holding hands with Scott pretending to be a couple while Stiles told Scott a message from Allison about how they will get through this and how she loves him.

Scott began to smile slightly so I pulled my hand out of his grip.

"What's wrong?" Scott asked confused on why I let go of his hand.

"I'm not going to pretend to be your girlfriend while you're smiling about Allison's love message." I said while crossing my arms over my chest.

"And I'm done being the messenger." Stiles said as we got to my locker.

"Look I'm sorry but just for a little bit longer." Scott begged making Stiles and I groan.

"You're lucky you're my friend because if you weren't I wouldn't be here saving your ass." I said as I opened my locker grabbing my chemistry book before shutting it.

"Thank you." Scott said as I grabbed his hand intertwining our fingers.

After school there was a lacrosse game.

I sat in the bleachers with Malia and Mrs. McCall.

I even have to pretend to be Scott's girlfriend around his mom.

"So when did you and Scott start dating?" Mrs. McCall asked with a smile.

"Um-" I began but Malia cut me off.

"Earlier this week. It was so cute how he asked her out." Malia said with a smile.

"Oh really how did he ask you?" Mrs. McCall asked making me panic.

"It was in the hall-" I began.

"He had people give her roses-" Malia said quickly.

"One by one like in a scavenger hunt-" I said cutting her off.
