"Maria, you can not wear that to your prom!" I shook my head. "But mom, all the other girls are wearing them!" She pouted. "You are not every other girl, my dear." Remembering me the same way at her age, until her father killed my parents and his guards brought me here. "This is not fair mom! I don't like being royalty, I miss out on all the fun!" I felt bad, but my daughter stood here looking like a slut, rather than a teenager. "Go ask your father how he feels about this outfit." She grinned, knowing Ezio gave her everything. I knew he'd agree with me on this one.
Maria and I walked over to the east side of the castle. That's where business takes place. We stepped into Ezio office. "Darling, our daughter has something she would like to ask you." I walked over to my husband's side, taking his hand in mine. "Yes my sweet princess?" Ezio grinned at her, until she told him she wanted to wear a strippers dress to her prom. "Absolutely not. You will wear a dress fitting for a princess to wear, and if you don't like it, then you can stay home!" Ezio meant what he had said and I agreed with him. Maria puffed up, crying as she left us in Ezio office.
"I hate being so mean to her Ezio, but she's too naive. Anyone would befriend her, just to get close to the top of the food chain." I sighed, holding tears back. Ezio grabbed me by my waist and pulled my into an embrace. "I know Izzy. We're doing what's best for her. Maybe if she changes style, she will see who is her real friends and who aren't." I nodded into his chest. I knew he was right.
I left a few hours later and find Lucas paying in the swing. This little boy was about eight years old. He had brown hair with golden swirls for eyes. "Lucas, you know you're not supposed to be out here by yourself!" Lucas looked down to his feet. "I know, I'm sorry. Please don't tell daddy, Mrs Izzy." I sighed and nodded my head as he ran back home. Later that night I was lying in bed with Ezio. "I saw
Sarah's boy today." Ezio turned and faced me. "Yeah?" He asked. "He told me not to tell you he was in the play ground on the swings by himself." Ezio cursed under his breath. "Stupid junkie. Can't even raise my kid, that I pay everything for." I sighed, wishing I could turn back time to keep that from happening.Ezio returned back a hour later. "Izzy, I'm holding a meeting tonight about my son. Stay with Maria until I get home." I nodded and he left. I sure hope my dear husband is gentle with the old council. Maria was beautiful, in her silk cashmere floor length gown. I hired some people to do her hair and make up today. They arrived thirty minutes earlier than expected, so we got started early. Her black hair was curled into little bobby pins, with tiny diamonds reflected off of one another. She was gorgeous, and looked just like me. We would be twins if not for her hair color being the same as Ezio's.
"Where did dad go?" Maria was searching for her father. "He went to see the council about Lucas." Maria didn't take to kindly to having a half brother, needless to say, neither did I. It was my fault though, I guess. If I wouldn't have ever ran off without him then perhaps I could have stopped it. I was a scared girl. I didn't want to marry the same monster that had killed my parents and enslaved me. Since we have been married for a while now, I love him more and more every day. I have successfully saved my Dark King. We together have restored light and love into this realm. Balls every other weekend. Maria lives for those!
Ezio returned two hours later smiling. I guess he got his way after all. I took pictures of Maria and Ezio, then Ezio took pictures of Maria and I until a maid walked by and took a picture of all three of us. She bowed and left us and a guard walked in. There was a very handsome boy standing behind him. This was Maria's date, I presumed. He had shaggy black hair and white marbles for teeth. His skin was a marvelous tan and he was gorgeous. Maria walked towards him and placed her arm through his as I took pictures.
We waved at them through the castle doors until they were no longer in sight. "Come Izzy, we need to talk." I followed my husband to our chambers and shut the door behind me. "What is it my love?" He sighed and looked in my eyes. "The council ordered for me to allow Lucas to live here, until his mother becomes clean." I walked towards my king and placed my hand against his cheek. I could not turn this child away. Even if it was his bastard son. The child has no control over what his mother does. I knew Maria would hate it, but we were here parents and she will get over it in time. "We must do what we have to do Ezio. I will get the maids started on cleaning and decorating his room. Just because he is a bastard, does not mean he will be treated as such." Ezio grabbed my hand and pressed his lips against the back of my hand and in my palm. "I have no idea why the prophecy made my life so great, but I truly thank the gods for making a woman so perfect as you." He smiled and inhaled my scent. "It is I who got lucky with such a wonderful husband." He chuckled. "Wonderful? Maybe, but my beautiful wife will have to break the news to our lovely princess." I sighed with defeat, because I knew Maria would not take this lightly.

*That was a future vision. I know, it was a REALLY long one! I'm kind of thinking about making this into a second book, but then again I think I may not, because her Visions are supposed to guide her the right way into which option to chose. Well, comment follow and share! I could use feedback!
