Jessica's POV*
So I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Jessica Potter, yes my last name is Potter, as in James and Lily Potter. Also known as the girl who lived because I "defeated" 'he who must not be named' with my twin brother, Harry. I don't live with my brother and I've never met him because on the day that our parents died Dumbledore decided that Harry would go live with our muggle aunt and uncle. While I got to live with Professor McGonagall, but I call her mum since I've lived with her since I was little. I just turned eleven a few days ago which means I got my Hogwarts letter. I can't wait to go to Hogwarts because not only can I study to become an amazing witch, but I can finally meet my brother.
Right now I was in my room reading a potions book mum got me for my birthday.
"Jessica, come down for breakfast." mum called. I put down my book and ran downstairs into the kitchen where mum had breakfast ready. I sat down at the table and started to eat. "So Jessica, do you want to go to Diagon Alley today or tomorrow?" she asked me.
For some reason, I had this feeling that I should go today. "I want to go today." I told her.
"Okay, we'll go once you've finished eating and get ready." she told me. I noticed that I was in fact still in my pajamas. I quickly ate the rest of my breakfast and mum scolded me for doing so, but I was too excited about going to Diagon Alley to listen to her.
Once I was done with my breakfast, I put my plate in the sink and hurried upstairs. I quickly changed into a pair of jeans, a gray short-sleeved shirt, and a red and blue plaid shirt. Then I looked around for my black flats and I found them underneath my bed. I put them on and then I put a headband in my hair.
I loved my hair because it was the same color as my real mum's hair. I had her hair and her eyes and I was lucky that I did because it felt like she was still there with me.
"Jessica, are you ready?" I heard mum ask from outside my door.
"Yeah." I replied. I opened the door and followed her downstairs.
"We're going to apparate." she told me and I groaned. I didn't really like apparating, but I knew I would love it when I could do it myself. I grabbed on tight to her arm and didn't let go. I could feel the familiar pull and before I knew it we landed at the entrance of Diagon Alley.
"I can't wait to get my wand!" I exclaimed excitedly. I noticed that my hair was turning violet. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I am metamorphmagus. Which means that I can change my appearance, but it also means that my hair changes based on my emotions.
"Jessica, you need to calm down." mum told me.
"Fine." I said. I looked at my hair and saw that it changed back to my normal ginger color.
"Now I will go get your books and other materials. All you need to worry about is getting your wand and robes." mum told me.
"Yes, mam." I saluted before I walked off towards Ollivander's. I walked in, but I didn't see anyone.
"Ah miss Potter, I have been expecting you." someone said. I looked around to find the voice and I saw Mr. Ollivander walking towards me.
"Are you psychic?" I asked completely serious.
"No miss Potter." he laughed. "It's common knowledge since you are of age to go to Hogwarts."
"Oh." I said feeling embarrassed and my hair had a slight pink tinge to it.
"No need to feel embarrassed, miss Potter. Now come on we have to pick out your wand." Mr. Ollivander told me. I walked towards the counter and waited for him to get me a wand. The first two wands didn't work and just made a mess. "Let's try this." he said, handing me another wand. I took the wand from him. When I did I felt a surge of power. "Very interesting." he commented.
