Chapter 9

Hiya my peasants so today I am here to tell you that this is the chapter were Fred and Jessica will start on the journey to become best friends, because they can't be a couple yet because of Jessica's age. There is this thing that I was not sure of. In the last chapter I asked when should we find out about Jessica's secret and I forgot what you guys told me. So if you could just remind me when you want to find out about I will do it. Well that is all now here is the chapter that I think some of you have been waiting for.

Fred's POV*

After Jessica's song last night I felt a connection towards her. I didn't really understand if it was a friendly connection or a romantic connection. I decided to go with friendly due to the fact that Jessica is only eleven and I know Harry wouldn't react well to me trying to date his sister. So instead I am going to make Jessica my best friend. Then Jessica, George, and I can cause havoc together. 

*In the morning*

I wake with the sun shining in my face and I know it is time to get up. I do everything I do in the morning then I get dressed. Making sure I look perfect I walk down to the common room. Then leave for breakfast.

Damn when did I get so nervous? Maybe since you are about to ask the girl who lived to be your best friend and she can turn you down because she can think you are not worthy enough to be her best friend. Yeah you're right. When am I not? Do you really want me to answer that question? No now shut up because here comes little miss Jessica. Yeah right little miss Jessica, haven't you seen how she gets when Malfoy gets on her nerves. Oh yeah, don't get on her nerves or say the wrong thing and then she won't want to hex you. Oh, thank you for making me even more nervous.

After having that conversation with my mind I felt more confident about asking Jessica to be my best friend. I saw her walking in with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. When they weren't paying attention to Jessica I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Hey Jessica, can I talk to you outside?"

"Sure." she said and got up. I followed her outside of the Great Hall.

Jessica's POV*

I was walking down to the Great Hall with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. When we got there they started having a conversation but I just ignored them. When I was about to start eating I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. I turned around and I saw Fred standing there.

"Hey Jessica, can I talk to you outside?"  he said.

"Sure." I said and I got up. I went outside of the Great Hall and Fred followed me. I stopped and turned to look at Fred. He looked nervous for some reason and I wonder why would he be nervous.

"Okay Jessica, there is something I want to tell you." Fred said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Okay Jessica, I know we've only known each other for a while. But whenever I am around you I get this feeling that I should protect you and be at your side. I want to ask you to be my best friend because I want to always be there for you, but I understand that if you don't because I may not be-"

Before he could finish what he was saying I cut him off with pulling him into a hug. We just stood there hugging each other until someone cleared their throat. Fred and I pulled away from each other to see a smug Hermione, a shocked Ron, and an angry Harry. I knew for a fact that Harry was going to take this the wrong way and blow things out of proportion.
