Rough Love

Chapter 2

Cameron got out his pencil case and started to write on our piece of paper: The Titanic!
"So, what should we write?" He asked me, chewing the top of his pen.
Before I could answer, there was a loud scream over from where Jade and Alexa was working. Me, Cameron and the rest of the class including Miss Cook looked over and saw that Jade had slapped Alexa hard in the face.
Cameron laughed quietly and I forced a giggle.
Ugh, Jade can be so annoying sometimes.
"JADE EVANS!! OFF TO THE HEADTEACHERS OFFICE NOW!" Miss Cook shouted, growing red with anger.
Jade packed up her stuff and blew a kiss to Cameron and a friendly wave to me.
"Everyone get back to your posters," Miss Cook said, forcing a smile and hurriedly walked over to Alexa who had a red mark on her cheek.
"Jade is going to be in a lot of trouble now," I said to Cameron, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah, she's such a rebel but seriously I love her so much," Cameron said smiling.
I nodded but inside I felt like I just got punched a million times. Am I suddenly falling for Cameron?

After school, I met Jade and Cameron by the front doors so we could walk home together.
"Miss Cook needs to sort out her priorities, Alexa deserved that smack," Jade said as we were walking home.
"Alexa is a really nice girl though Jade," I blurted out. Then I wished I didn't say it but it was too late.
"What? Alice, Alexa is the most annoying girl ever! Don't say you actually like her?" Jade said stopping and looking at me with an annoyed face.
Cameron stood there pretending to go on his phone even though I knew he was listening to us squabble.
"No I didn't mean that, but you can't just go around smacking people when you don't like them," I said looking down anxiously.
"Whatever Alice, I'm not walking home with you right now. C''mon Cam," Jade said linking her arm through Cameron's.
Cameron pulled away and said, "My mother just text me saying I need to get something for her from the shop, I'll text you ok?"
Jade shrugged and walked off on her own.

I looked at Cameron and he smiled at me.
"So, I'll see you tomorrow then," I said forcing a smile.
Cameron shook his head and said, "my mother didn't really text me, I didn't want you to be left alone,"
My heart fluttered like crazy when he said that.
I just stood there, having a mini heart attack..

Cameron leaned in and kissed my lips softly. I couldn't help but kiss him back. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in closer, kissing me harder and harder.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and he picked me up still kissing me roughly.

After about two minutes of kissing, I pulled away.

"I'm sorry Cameron, but Jade is my best friend. I can't do this to her,"

Cameron looked down, biting his lip and then he nodded slowly.

"I understand."

He started to walk away and I felt a pang of sadness fill over me. Does Cameron like me? But he's with Jade?

I stood there confused but feeling a little bit elated because Cameron KISSED ME!!!

But I should tell Jade..after all she's my best friend.
