Just A Poem

As I lay in the midst of the woods
The moss covered tree acting as my bed
I look up at the stems of trees above me
Enclosing me in a place of peace
My eyes flutter as I listen to the stream beside me
Taking my stress down the path with each passing second
The wind kisses my skin keeping me cool
Reminding me I'm free
Reminding me I'm in my own world
As the hours tick by I lay still in my position
Seeing no reason to ever leave
The leaves on the ground rustle with the wind
The birds sing to one another a low, harmonic song
Almost like a lullaby
No other vessel to disturb me
Leaving me in utter peace
