▬ [chapter two.] ▬
[LIAM KING]▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
"Today's the day," my Beta, Aiden said to me as I sat in the desk chair.
"You mean that today is just another day that we visit another pack to find my mate, who probably won't even be there. Just like all of the other packs we've been to in search of her," I replied back in a dull voice.
"What's got a stick up your ass this morning? Somebody took a piss in your Wheaties?"
I sighed. I've been looking for my mate ever since I turned sixteen, but so far I've come up short.
Since I'm the Alpha of one of the biggest packs in the world, the Moon Blood pack, nobody really questions my lack of a Luna.
My name is Liam King. My wolf's name is Scion.
Today was just another day where me, my Beta Aiden and a few pack warriors go to one of the packs in the country and look at the unmated females.
We were headed to the Golden Blood's pack that was run by Alpha Edwards.
I didn't really like the man. In fact he seemed like a creepy dick. But I don't start wars without a reason of probable cause; no matter how much of a scumbag the Alpha was.
Ignoring Aiden, I pushed away from my desk and shoved past the idiot I called my best friend and Beta right out the door.
I'd known Aiden since we were children when my father caught him as a rogue when we were seven.
He had wandered onto our territory and was lost when one of our pack warriors caught him and brought him to our pack house to be questioned.
He told my father and mother his story about how his parents were exiled out of the pack when they had him without being under the wrong circumstances.
See, some packs abide to different rules then others. His parents old pack had rules that stated that mates couldn't bare children without being married properly. So they were kicked out of the pack without instantly with no questions asked.
He grew up a rogue; staying off of territories and staying away from other rogues. They had lived alone in an unsuspecting human town peacefully until they were discovered.
A pack nearby had caught their scent and killed his parents out of cold blood, leaving him to wander.
My mother took pity and suggested we keep him and a day later he was accepted into the pack.
