Addison's POV~
The steak was goood. I hummed in delight. I placed my plate in the sink and began scrubbing it with a sponge. I placed my plate back in the dish washer and made my way up the stairs.

I stared at the red numbers on my alarm clock, it read: 8:23

5 hours to kill, great. I turned and turned around in my room, trying to find something to do.

"Nate, where are you?" I linked him. "Just on the porch."  Was his reply. Porch? We have a porch? "Vamps!"  Someone cried into the pack link. "Where?"  Vamps? What the hell?

"All over the West border."  With that, I began to run towards the West border, hoping there weren't too many for us to take on. Some fighters joined me as I ran to the border in human form. "Luna." They said while running beside me.

I could see the faint outlines of people fighting in the clearing. I ran faster to the fight and realized that there weren't too many, maybe 40, 50 vampires.

Before I knew it, there were vampires flinging themselves at me, each missing terribly, I almost laughed out loud at their failure. Finally, one was finally able to punch me straight in the eye while hollering something foreign. I clenched my teeth together in pain and shut the injured eye tightly.

I threw punches left and right, ping-ponging the vamp with my own fists. The vampire, who had jet black hair and blood red eyes, fangs clearly shown, fought back with some crappy moves of his. He tried to trip me but ended up kicking me in the shins instead. I easily grabbed his arms and twisted it behind his back. I then pulled his head back and twisted it in one quick move, ending his sad life.

I looked around me and saw that one of my fighters, Jason, was getting ganged up on by 3 vamps. I ran over there, grabbed one of their legs and flung him over my shoulder. The other two looked at me with a shocked expression, leaving them exposed for Jason to kill. They fell to the ground with their now lifeless eyes, limp.

I dusted my pants off and looked around me. Where's Nathan? I suddenly felt worried.

I scanned the area, looking closely for Nathan. I couldn't find him.

"Nate?" I called through the mate link worriedly. No response.

"Nathan!!" I cried. Where did he go?

He always, ALWAYS, replies to me. I ran back to the pack straight back to the pack house, hoping he was just blocking his link, oblivious to what just happened.

I ran through the front door and everyone just stares at me. I ran past them, ignoring their curious stares, to the kitchen. I barged through the kitchen door and spotted my dad reading a book while drinking some tea.

"Dad!" I cried. "Do you know where Nathan is?" He looked up from his book and shook his head.

"Wait!" He shouted, "You're on house arrest! You're not allowed to go out!"

I sighed and ran down the hall, hoping he was in the garden in the back. It's so dark out though, I thought.

I ran through the back door, "Nathan!!" I scanned the area, no sign of him. I ran back in the house and up the stairs, "Nathan!!" I called while running. I slammed open every room, some with people, some without. Thankfully, nobody being naughty.

At the last room on the floor, I slammed it open so hard, it broke from the pressure. "What the hell?!" Someone shrieked. God please no. I back up out of the room as I realized who it was. Before I could dash away, I was pinned up against the wall.

"Oh, helllll no. You owe me new fuckin' door." Jessie screamed. "That's a guest room. Someone else will fix it." I said as I wiggled a hand free.

"You broke it, you pay for it!" She screamed.

"I'm your guest, you should respect me." Since when did we have guests? "You should respect me." I mocked and wriggled out of her death grip. I walked down the hall quickly, Jessie hot on my tail.

Suddenly, my head slammed against the white walls of the hallway. I groaned and rubbed it, trying to soothe the pain. I turned and slapped her. I continued to walk down the hall, slamming the kitchen doors open, I angrily sat down on a stool.

"What crawled up your ass?" A familiar manly voice said. "Not in the mood to deal with your sh*t." I muttered.

"Well hello. That's a fabulous way to reply to your mate." Nathan mused. Wait... NATHAN!

Realization hit me like a ton of bricks. "NATHAN" I shouted, quickly jumping off the stool. I ran at him and tackled him into a bear hug.

"Where the hell have you been?" I asked. I pulled away and slapped him. "What?" He whined as he rubbed his cheek. Was he joking?

"I tried to friggin' mind link you, I ran all over searching for your bum, I broke a door. How'd you not hear ANYTHING?" I whacked his arm. "Ow." He whined again as he rubbed his arm. "I blocked my link and I was listening to music!"

Sure... "Are you sure? Didn't you hear the pack members say there were vamps?" I smacked him again and dragged him upstairs with me.

"You literally scared the sh*t out of me, Nathan!" I said right after I closed the door.

"Sorry. I'm sorry." He muttered. I narrowed my eyes at him. "Don't block your link unless you really need to, I will come, and rip your eyeballs out of their sockets."

His eyes widened, "You won't be able to do that if you block your link again without a valid reason. It's dangerous." He nodded and walked around the room.

"What are you doing?" I asked, dropping the other topic. "Thinking." He grumbled. "About?" I stretched it.

"Something." He muttered, not even looking at me once. "Like?" I was starting to get frustrated.

"Can't tell you right now." He said and he opened the door and walked out. Well okay then.

Did I make him hate me? Oh goddess, help me.

I decided to go to the library and read a book, hoping that Nathan would come back. I grabbed "The Maze Runner" and plopped down on the couch, engulfing myself in a new story.
