Your P.O.V:

I'd never given much thought to how I would die.
But dying in the place of someone I love, seems like a good way to go.
So I can't bring myself to regret the decision of leaving home. I would miss Phoenix. I'd miss the heat. I'd miss my loving, hampering mother.

But- I missed my dad, Kaden.
I missed the playful banter and comfortable silences that we shared.
I however, did not miss the cold.
I resented thunder, and how it kept me awake during the nights that I desperately needed sleep. I never enjoyed the cold, or anything wet in general.

Taking a separate four hour flight to a place I hadn't been in over five years,  I can definitely say that I hated flying. I hated the fear of feeling as if the plane could crash at any given time, and I heavily resented the idea of being seated next to a child where all they would be doing is crying or annoying their mothers.

Safe to say, I was over ecstatic the minute my plane landed.
Even more so when I spotted my father in the crowds of people, no longer needing to hear his voice over phone call; and actually having the privilege of greeting him face to face once again. But the minute we reached his police cruiser and actually drowned ourselves in the silence I once infatuated, I couldn't fight the urge of plugging in my headphones and playing Sweet Disposition on repeat; a song that I could listen to for hours.

And based on the occasional glances sent my way by none other than Kaden, I was sure he could hear everything playing through my aux.

However, as of now, we were currently driving into the small town of Forks. Population, 1432 people.
 I couldn't say that I blamed anyone.
This town constantly being covered by clouds and harsh rains, I understood why people strayed from receiving potential pneumonia or some form of sickness.
But of course, when it came to people like my dad; I guess some people preferred frigid weather over warm.

Me being one of those who rather the latter.

"Your hair's longer." Kaden audibly speaks up through the light sound of music, radiating from my headphones.
Glancing down at my Y/H/C hair, I examined a few strands before I simply shrug my shoulders; glancing back down at my phone. "I've cut it since the last time I saw you." Kaden shifted slightly, our once memorable silences of comfort changing into one of displeasure. "Oh. Well, I guess it grew out again."

Finally pulling up to our double storied house, I clutch the cactus from Phoenix closer to my chest; although being sure to not harm myself.

Looking at the place that I would now be calling 'home', I examine it closely; noticing that Kaden hadn't changed a thing about it.

I use to spend at least two weeks here every summer. But then it turned into years, and not once had I visited.
Getting out the car, I help Kaden with collecting my bags;  walking inside the house and noticing that the interior hadn't changed either. The same stairs, being the first thing you see upon entering the house. My room being in the same place that it always had been,  and of course; only one bathroom for the two of us to share.

"I haven't changed your room. I hope that's okay." Kaden says, placing my bags besides my bed; allowing me the time to  study the room even further. "I'll give you some space."

One of the best things about Kaden? He doesn't hover. He understand the importance of space and my need to have space.

The sound a horn beeping made me look outside my rooms window, seeing an older looking man with dark brown hair; standing by a petite girl with long hair in a half-up, half-down hairdo.

Although the two figures seemed familiar, it didn't stop my curiosity from running wild; causing me to exit the house, only to come face-to-face with a breathtakingly beautiful girl.
"Y/N, you remember Edward Butera?" Kaden asks, earning a nod in response. Shaking the mans hand, I  sent a small smile his way. "Yeah, how could I forget. Lookin' good, Ed." I smirk, hearing a small chuckle escape the mans throat.
