Luke, soaked from head to toe, struggles to pull his keys from his soaking wet pants. He's shaking, not because he's cold but because he's done something he never expected to do.
Finally, He's able to open the door. He wet feet make marks on the floor. His mom is gonna be pissed, but he'll worry about that later. He quickly slams the door shut and runs upstairs.

Claire leaves her bedroom with a laundry basket full of dirty clothes blocking her sight. She hears someone shut the front door and she hears someone running upstairs. "Phil is that you?" "Err no mom it's me" "Luke? I didn't see you leave this morning, where did you go?" Claire asks. "grandpa's" "Okay, why? did you forget something last nigh-" Claire sentence is cut of by the sight of her son. Soaking wet and the eyes of worried puppy. "Luke what the hell happened to you?" " nothing mom" Luke says, not daring to look his mother in her eyes. Claire puts down the laundry basket and crosses her arms. "Luke?" "I fell in the pool okay?" "How the hell did you fall into the pool?" " I don't know I tripped I guess" Claire sighs deeply and her face turns to a position Luke has seen too much of lately. "I'm getting really tired of this kind of BS Luke, I have too many things to worry about and take care of without adding your st-" "Mom, you need to calm down, I'll wash my own clothes, and I'll come help you in the garage in just a minute okay?!" " don't you start that tone with me Lu-" Luke slams his room door shut and locks it before his mother could finish her rant."

He carefully reads every text. and feels worse about himself and more sorry for his former best friend every second. "goddamnit I'm such an asshole!" He slams his fist against the carpeted floor. No wonder he hates me...
I can't lose Manny. He's the only thing that still makes sense to me . The only person that doesn't make make my brain hurt or only pretends to be my friend... And look at how I treat him.I have to make it up to him.... somehow... Maybe he isn't pissed anymore but I... I still have to show him that I can be a good friend.... And that I'm not some kind of creepy hugger. Even if it did feel kinda nice...
Luke opens safari on his phone and types in: 'Local cultural events Los Angeles'. A couple of things pop and he keeps scrolling through them all.
